Okay, so yesterday I tried out Aunt Bessie’s rib tips. I’ve heard a lot about them, and finally decided to give it a shot. Here’s how it all went down.

Getting Started

First things first, I grabbed the ingredients. I already had a rack of ribs, but needed to run to the store for Aunt Bessie’s sauce and some other stuff. Once I got back, I prepped the ribs by removing that thin membrane on the back. You know, that papery thing? It’s gotta go if you want tender ribs.

The Cooking Process

Next, I seasoned the ribs. I went with a simple mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Nothing fancy, just good ol’ flavors. I rubbed that mix all over the ribs, making sure to get every nook and cranny.

Then, I preheated my oven to 275°F (135°C). I’ve heard low and slow is best for * the oven was heating up,I double wrap each of ribs with tin foil individually.

  • I placed the ribs on a baking sheet and then Cover the baking sheet with foil.
  • I cooked for 2 hours in the oven.
  • Carefully remove foil and generously brush with Aunt Bessie’s sauce, then continue to cook until adequately caramelized and the sauce sticks to the ribs.

The Final Result

Finally, I took the ribs out and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. They smelled amazing! I served them up with some coleslaw and potato salad. Classic sides for a classic dish.

Honestly, the ribs were pretty good. The meat was tender and fell right off the bone, and the sauce had a nice, tangy flavor. It was a hit with the family! I’ll definitely be making these again.
