Alright, so check it out, I’ve been messing around with keto recipes lately, trying to get that perfect ACV (apple cider vinegar) blend. Figured I’d share what I’ve been doing and how it’s been turning out.
First things first: Getting Started

- I started by actually understanding what I wanted to achieve. I am aiming for weightloss, better digestion, and just a general health kick.
- Then, I researched what actually is needed in keto and how ACV helps.
The Ingredients I Used:
- Apple Cider Vinegar: Gotta have the main ingredient! I grabbed the raw, unfiltered stuff with “the mother.” Heard it’s better.
- MCT Oil: For that extra fat boost and, supposedly, it helps with the ACV taste.
- Lemon Juice: Because I like the taste and it’s supposed to help with detox.
- Stevia/Monk Fruit: Gotta sweeten it up a bit, right? Keto-friendly sweeteners are key.
- Water: For diluting, duh.
- Optional: Ginger/Turmeric: sometimes I toss in a pinch of these for extra health benefits.
The Process: My Experimentation Log
- Day 1: The Basic Recipe.
Mixed 1 tbsp ACV, 1 tsp MCT oil, juice of ¼ lemon, a pinch of stevia, and 8oz water. Drank it down. It was… intense. Definitely tasted the ACV.
- Day 3: Tweaking the Sweetness.
Upped the stevia a bit. Still kinda harsh. I think the ACV I used was particularly strong.
- Day 5: The Ginger Kick.
Added a tiny bit of grated ginger. It actually helped mask the ACV flavor a little! Also felt like it added a nice warmth.
- Day 7: MCT Oil Experiment.
Read somewhere that too much MCT oil can cause stomach issues… and guess what? I got a little stomach upset. Dialed it back to ½ tsp.
- Day 10: The Perfect Blend (For Me).
Finally! Settled on: 1 tbsp ACV, ½ tsp MCT oil, juice of ¼ lemon, a tiny pinch of monk fruit, a pinch of ginger, and 10oz water. It’s actually… drinkable!
What I Learned:
- ACV is STRONG. Go easy on it at first.
- Sweeteners are your friend. But don’t overdo it.
- MCT oil is powerful. Start small and see how your stomach reacts.
- Ginger is a game-changer. Seriously, try it.
Final Thoughts:
It’s all about finding what works for you! Play around with the ingredients, adjust the amounts, and see what tastes good and feels good. I’m still experimenting, but this keto ACV thing is becoming a regular part of my day. Good luck!
