Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with “beverages that start with t.” It all started with a random craving and a whole lotta curiosity. I mean, how many drinks actually kick off with the letter ‘t’? Turns out, more than I initially thought!
First thing I did? Hit up Google, of course. Typed in “drinks that start with t” and bam! A bunch of options popped up. But I wasn’t just gonna copy-paste a list. Nah, I wanted to experience these beverages, taste ’em, maybe even try making some myself.

Tea, Obviously: Let’s start with the obvious one: Tea. But even there, the rabbit hole goes deep. I started with a classic black tea, you know, just to get my bearings. Then I went for a green tea, nice and refreshing. After that, herbal teas – chamomile, peppermint, you name it. I even tried making my own blend with some dried herbs from the garden. It was… interesting. Not terrible, but definitely not Twinings.
Trying Tang: Remember Tang? The orange-flavored drink from our childhood. Found a can at the back of the store gathering dust. Mixed it up. And took a sip. Whoa, sugar rush! It wasn’t quite as nostalgic as I’d hoped, way too sweet for my adult taste buds. But hey, at least I tried it.
Then there were the trickier ones. I stumbled across “Tepache”.
Tepache Experiment: Okay, this one was a real adventure. Tepache is a fermented drink made from pineapple rinds. I had to find a good recipe online, save my pineapple rinds for a week. It was kinda scary sitting on my counter fermenting. Then, I followed the instructions carefully, adding spices and letting it do its thing. A few days later, I strained it, chilled it, and…it was surprisingly good! A little fizzy, a little sweet, and definitely pineapple-y. It was the highlight of the experiment, would make again.
Tomato Juice Taste Test: Tomato juice was next on my list. I’m not usually a big fan, but I figured I should give it a fair shot. I tried a couple of different brands. Some were super thick and salty, others were more watery and mild. I decided it needed some jazzing up, added a dash of Worcestershire sauce, a squeeze of lemon, and a pinch of pepper. Much better!
The Tussle with Tonic Water: Tonic water… well, that’s usually just a mixer for gin. But I tried it on its own. Bitter! Really bitter. Not my cup of tea (pun intended!). I think I’ll stick to using it in G&Ts.
That’s it: In the end, the “beverages that start with t” journey was a lot more fun than I expected. I discovered a few new favorites, confirmed some old dislikes, and learned a bit about fermentation. Now, what letter should I tackle next?
