Okay, so I wanted to share my experience with Lim’s Thai Cuisine the other day. I’d been meaning to check it out for a while.
Deciding to Go
Heard a couple of people mention it, you know, just in passing. Nothing over the top, just that it was decent Thai food. I was driving around last Tuesday, feeling hungry, and remembered the name. Figured, why not? Let’s give it a shot. Wasn’t expecting much, just a regular meal.

Finding the Place & First Look
It wasn’t hard to find, located in that small strip mall off the main road. Parking was easy enough right out front. Walked in. The place itself is pretty simple. Not fancy at all, kinda basic tables and chairs. But it smelled really good, you know that mix of spices, garlic, and maybe some basil? That definitely got my attention. It felt like a real, no-frills neighborhood joint.
Ordering Up
Grabbed a menu near the counter. Looked through it – had all the usual suspects: curries, noodles, fried rice. I scanned it for a bit, trying to decide. I almost went for the green curry, but ended up choosing the Pad See Ew with chicken. It’s usually my go-to when I try a new Thai place, kind of a baseline test for me. Also got an order of fresh spring rolls, thought that would be a good starter.
The person at the counter took my order. Pretty straightforward, no real chit-chat, just got the job done.
Waiting and Eating
Found a table and sat down. Wasn’t too busy when I got there, maybe two other tables had people. I could kinda see into the kitchen area, hear the sounds of chopping and sizzling from the wok. Always like hearing that.
The spring rolls came out first. They were alright, tasted fresh, came with that peanut dipping sauce. Pretty standard stuff.
Then the main dish, the Pad See Ew, arrived. Looked okay.
- Noodles were nice and wide.
- Good amount of chicken and Chinese broccoli mixed in.
- Sauce coated everything pretty well, looked dark and savory.
Took my first bite. The flavor was decent. It wasn’t the best Pad See Ew I’ve ever had, but it was definitely solid. The noodles had a nice chew, chicken was cooked through, broccoli still had a bit of crunch. It could have used a little more ‘wok hei’, that smoky flavor, you know? And maybe a bit more spice, but that’s just my personal preference. Overall, it tasted like honest, home-style Thai cooking.
Wrapping It Up
Finished most of it – the portion size was pretty good value for the price. Paid up at the counter, thanked the staff, and headed out. The whole thing was pretty quick and easy.
So, that’s my run-down of Lim’s Thai Cuisine. It did the job. It’s a simple place serving up decent, straightforward Thai food. Not a fancy night out, but if you’re nearby and craving some noodles or curry, it’s a perfectly fine spot to grab a bite. I might stop by again if I’m in the area and try something different next time.
