Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this place, this Beaverton Swagat Indian Cuisine, down in Beaverton, Oregon. Now, I ain’t no fancy food critic or nothin’, just a plain ol’ person who likes a good meal. And let me tell ya, this place… it’s somethin’ else.

First off, they got this thing called Grubhub. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it ain’t. It just means they bring the food right to your door. Fast, too. Like, lickety-split fast. And the price? Well, it ain’t gonna break the bank, that’s for sure. So, if you’re feelin’ lazy or just don’t wanna go out, that Grubhub thing is the way to go. Order now, they say. And I say, why not?
But, if you got the time, goin’ to the actual restaurant is even better. It’s called, what was it? Oh yeah, Swagat Indian Cuisine Beaverton. Sounds kinda foreign, but don’t let that scare ya. It just means “welcome” in some language or other. And welcome you do feel. Walk in there, and it’s all warm and cozy, like. Not all snooty and uppity like some places.
- The smells, oh the smells! It’s like a party in your nose. All sorts of spices and herbs, mixin’ and minglin’. Makes your stomach rumble, it does.
- And the folks workin’ there, they’re real nice. Always smilin’ and helpful, even when I ask dumb questions like, “What’s this thingamajig?” They just laugh and tell ya, no problem.
Now, let’s get to the important part: the food. I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t know the names of half the stuff. Too many fancy words for my old brain. But I know what tastes good, and let me tell ya, everything I’ve tried here tastes good. Real good.
They got this bread, naan they call it. It’s all puffy and warm, perfect for soppin’ up the sauces. And the sauces! Oh my. Some are creamy, some are spicy, some are sweet, some are all of the above at the same time. It’s like a flavor explosion in your mouth.
I had this chicken dish once, I think it was called butter chicken. It was so tender, it just melted in your mouth. And the sauce, it was creamy and buttery and tangy and… just heavenly. I coulda eaten a whole bucket of that stuff.

And then there’s this rice, all fluffy and white. They put little bits of things in it, like peas and carrots and… other things. It’s the perfect side dish to all the saucy goodness. It fills you up good, you know? Keeps you goin’ all day.
I also tried some lamb dish, somethin’ with spinach in it. Now, I ain’t usually a big fan of lamb, but this stuff was different. It was so flavorful and juicy, not gamey at all. And the spinach, it just added a nice earthy taste to it. I was surprised how much I liked it.
They also got these little fried things, samosas they call ’em. They’re stuffed with potatoes and peas and spices, and they’re crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for dippin’ in the sauces. I could eat a whole plate of them, I swear.
And let’s not forget the drinks. They got this mango lassi thing, it’s like a yogurt smoothie with mango in it. It’s sweet and creamy and refreshing, perfect for washin’ down all that spicy food. They got other drinks too, but that mango thing is my favorite.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good meal, somethin’ different, somethin’ tasty, I highly recommend checkin’ out this Swagat Indian Cuisine place in Beaverton. It ain’t fancy, but it’s good. Real good. And that’s all that matters, right? Good food, good service, good price. What more could ya ask for?

Don’t be shy, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Unless you don’t like flavorful food, then maybe you should stick to your bland mashed potatoes and boiled chicken. But if you’re like me, and you like a little spice in your life, then this place is for you. Go on now, order some food. You deserve it.
They even got vegetarian options, for all you folks who don’t eat meat. And the portions are big, so you definitely get your money’s worth. I always have leftovers, which is great for lunch the next day. Nothin’ better than a tasty Indian meal, even when it’s a day old.
So there you have it. My two cents on Beaverton Swagat Indian Cuisine. Go on, give it a try. You might just find your new favorite restaurant. And don’t forget to order some naan bread, you’ll need it for all that delicious sauce. You can thank me later.
