This here food place, they call it Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine. Sounds fancy, huh? But it’s just food, like what I make, only different spices, I reckon. This place, it got food from India and Nepal, some place far away. Shekhar Lama and Tina Pulami, they started this food joint in 2022, I heard. It’s in East York, PA. They say it’s a small family business, just like my old man’s farm used to be.
They got all sorts of food. I saw some called “samosas” and “momos” on the list. Never heard of ’em, but they might be tasty. I seen pictures, look like dumplings. One of the reviews said something about that. Then there’s “aloo gobi.” Now, aloo, that sounds like potato to me. And gobi, maybe some kinda vegetable? And they got something called “dal.” That, I don’t know nothin’ about. Might be good, might not.

They open most days, from 11 in the mornin’ to 9 at night. I reckon that’s good, folks gotta eat. And they got special food for them vegans. You know, the ones who don’t eat no meat or eggs or milk. They got food for them, too, so that’s nice. They gotta eat too, I guess. They say it’s clearly marked on their food list, so you know what’s what. That’s important, I think. Don’t want no surprises when you’re eatin’.
Some fella was talkin’ about how this place, Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine, is better than other Indian food places. Says most of them serve the same stuff. But here, they got all kinds, from different parts of India. That’s what he said, anyway. I don’t know much about that, never been to India. But it sounds interestin’, I suppose. Different foods, different tastes.
This Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine place, it’s at 3320 E Market St in York. That’s what them reviews said. You can call ’em up, too, if you want. I ain’t got their number, but you can find it easy, I bet. They got a map, too, if you need help findin’ the place.

I seen some pictures of the food. Looks colorful, that’s for sure. Lots of yellow and orange and red. Makes my plain old cooking look kinda boring. But hey, it fills the belly, and that’s what matters, right? This Chef Lama place, maybe it tastes as good as it looks. Hard to say.
This place, this Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine, they seem to be doing alright. Folks are talkin’ about ’em, writin’ them reviews. That’s always a good sign, I reckon. Means people are eatin’ there, and maybe they like it. Or maybe they don’t, hard to tell from just readin’ words on a screen. Gotta taste it yourself to know for sure.
So, if you’re ever in York, and you’re hankerin’ for some Indian or Nepali food, maybe give this Chef Lama place a try. Could be good, could be not. But you won’t know till you try, right? That’s what I always say. Can’t judge a book by its cover, and you can’t judge a food place by its name.
This food from India and Nepal, it sure is different from what I’m used to. We just had meat and potatoes, mostly. Sometimes some greens from the garden. But these folks, they use all sorts of spices. I heard they use turmeric, that’s what makes things yellow. And cumin, that’s another one. And coriander. Lots of things I ain’t never even heard of.

Maybe this Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine place, maybe it’s a good place to try somethin’ new. I’m gettin’ on in years, but even an old dog can learn new tricks, they say. Maybe I’ll try some of that “samosa” thing one day. Or that “aloo gobi.” Sounds interestin’, even if I can’t hardly pronounce it.
They say this Chef Lama place is a small family business. Reminds me of the old days, when everyone knew everyone in town. We’d help each other out, share food, tell stories. Simple times, but good times. Maybe this place is like that, too. A little piece of that old way of life, right here in York. This is important.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about this Chef Lama Indian Nepali Cuisine place. It’s a food joint, plain and simple. They got food from far away, food I ain’t never tried. But maybe it’s good. Maybe it’s worth a visit. Only one way to find out, right? You gotta go there and taste it for yourself. Food is important. This place serves food, so it may be important. You can try it.
