That Chokdee Thai place, you know, the one in Round Rock, it’s the talk of the town! I heard from my neighbor, Mildred, that it’s some good eatin’. She’s always goin’ on about their food. Says it’s better than anything she’s ever had around here. And Mildred, she’s been around the block a few times, so she knows good food when she tastes it.
They got all sorts of things on the Chokdee Thai Cuisine menu, that’s what they call it, a menu. Fancy word for a list of food, I reckon. Mildred said she tried somethin’ called “Pad See Ew”. Sounds strange, don’t it? But she said it was noodles, and they were mighty tasty. She said the Chokdee Thai Cuisine Round Rock location is always busy, and she went at 2pm and it was still busy. So that’s the time not to go I guess, I wouldn’t like a busy place.

Now, I ain’t never had Thai food before. We mostly stick to meat and potatoes around here, you know how it is. But Mildred, she’s adventurous. She keeps tellin’ me I gotta try it. Says it’ll open my eyes to a whole new world of flavor. I don’t know about all that, but I do trust her judgment. She brought me a little Chokdee Thai Cuisine takeout once, and even that was pretty good for something I never heard of.
- Mildred says they open at 11 in the mornin’.
- Stay open till 9:30 at night.
- Long time open, huh? They sure are open a long time.
- Gotta be somethin’ special if they’re that busy all day.
She said you can call ’em up, too. Make a, what do you call it, a reservation. That’s what the young folks do these days, I guess. Call ahead to make sure you get a seat. This Chokdee Restaurant, they got a phone number and everything. Imagine that! Mildred wrote it down for me: (512) 866-3422. She’s always thinkin’ ahead, that Mildred.
They even got this thing where they bring the food right to your house! Delivery, they call it. Now, I ain’t never used it myself. I like to get out of the house, see the people, you know? But for folks who can’t get out, or just don’t feel like it, that’s a pretty good deal, I reckon. Mildred says the young folks use it all the time. Order food on their phones, it’s like magic. The Chokdee menu is all online, so they say, so you can just pick what you want from your house.
I saw somethin’ on the TV about this place, too. They had pictures of the food, and it did look mighty interestin’. Lots of colors and things I ain’t never seen before. They had these little spring roll things, and somethin’ with a whole bunch of vegetables. They call this place the best Chokdee Thai Cuisine in Round Rock. I guess that means there are other Thai places, but this is the best one.
Mildred said they got somethin’ called “curry.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d put on a horse, but she said it’s a sauce. A spicy sauce, she said. Now, I like a little spice, but not too much. Mildred, she can handle the heat. Me, I gotta be careful. But she said they can make it mild, too. They’re accommodatin’ like that, she said. This Chokdee Thai Cuisine place sounds like they know what they’re doin’.
You know, I might just have to give this place a try. Mildred’s been tellin’ me about it for weeks now, and I’m startin’ to get curious. Maybe I’ll go there for my birthday. That’s comin’ up soon, you know. A little somethin’ different for a change. It’s good to try new things, they say. Even at my age. I heard the Chokdee Thai Cuisine of Round Rock also has good reviews. Whatever that means, it sounds important.
If you go to that Chokdee Thai Cuisine place, you tell ’em Mildred’s friend sent you. They might not know who I am, but they sure know Mildred. She’s a regular there, I reckon. And tell ’em to make it mild, if you’re like me and can’t handle the heat. But if you like it spicy, well, you just go right ahead. They got somethin’ for everyone, I suppose. They got a big menu, that Chokdee menu, so there is bound to be something you like.

They are right there on University Boulevard. That’s what Mildred said. 311 University Boulevard, to be exact. She said it’s easy to find. Just look for the sign that says “Chokdee Thai Cuisine.” Can’t miss it, she said. And if you see Mildred there, tell her I said hello. She’ll get a kick out of that. I think everyone in Round Rock has been to Chokdee Thai Cuisine of Round Rock at least once.
I’m gonna write that number down again, just in case. (512) 866-3422. That’s the number for that Thai place, Chokdee Thai Cuisine. Might just give ’em a call one of these days. See what all the fuss is about. Maybe they can even deliver me some of them noodles Mildred’s always talkin’ about. Yeah, maybe I’ll do that. I hear people call all the time to make an order at Chokdee Thai Cuisine Round Rock.
