You know, everyone loves that margarita stuff, but I ain’t talking about that today. I’m here to talk about them Mexican beverages non alcoholic. Just good old drinks, no funny business. Ain’t no need for that alcohol stuff to have a good time, ya hear?

Now, I remember back in the day, we didn’t have all these fancy drinks. We just had what the good Lord gave us. But these Mexican folks, they sure know how to make some tasty drinks without that alcohol kick. And lots of choices! Like that one drink, Agua something, I will say that later. Or that “Aguas Frescas”, I know that one!

Best Mexican Beverages Non Alcoholic: Top Picks Youll Love

These Aguas Frescas, they’re probably the most common non-alcoholic Mexican beverage you can find. I see ’em everywhere. They sell it on the street, in the stores, everywhere! You can find ’em in Mexico, and even up here in some parts. It’s like their sweet tea, I reckon. They just smash up some fruit, real sweet or sour ones, mix it with water and sugar. Simple as pie. They use all kinds of fruits. Watermelon, cantaloupe, them little limes. Whatever they got growin’, I guess.

  • Watermelon Agua Fresca: Just watermelon, water, and a little sugar.
  • Lime Agua Fresca: Like lemonade, but with them little green limes.
  • Strawberry Agua Fresca: They smash up them strawberries with water and sugar.

My favorite is the watermelon one. Reminds me of summertime back home, sittin’ on the porch, watching the sun go down. Just good, honest flavor. And it’s good for ya, too! All that fruit and water. Keeps ya hydrated on a hot day. And it tastes way better than plain water, that’s for sure.

Then there’s this other one, Agua de Horchata. That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? But it’s a good one. It’s a creamy, kinda sweet drink. It’s white, like milk. They say it’s made from rice. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s tasty. They put cinnamon in it, too. Gives it a little spice. It’s real refreshing on a hot day. They serve it over ice, all cold and frosty. It’s a traditional one, been around for ages, I reckon. Even longer than I been around, and that’s sayin’ somethin’!

Some people, they get all fancy with it. They add other stuff. Sometimes they put vanilla in it. Or nuts, even! I don’t know about all that. I like it plain and simple. Just the rice, water, cinnamon, and sugar. That’s all you need. Keep it simple, that’s what I always say. Ain’t no need to complicate things. Especially when it comes to something good, simple, and refreshing.

And that Tejuino drink. They say that one is also an old-timer. It is also a Mexican beverages non alcoholic. This drink is made from that corn stuff. I can not remember when I drink it last time. But I can say, if you want something truly Mexican, try this. Might not see it everywhere, but it’s worth a try if you do.

Now, these Mexican folks, they got all kinds of other drinks, too. Some of them are kinda like smoothies. They call ’em “Licuados”. They just throw fruit and milk and ice in a blender and whiz it all up. It’s like a milkshake, but healthier, I guess. They use all kinds of fruits for that, too. Bananas, strawberries, mangoes… whatever they got on hand. It is quick to made, you can drink it for breakfast.

They even got this drink made from chocolate. It’s called “Champurrado”. It’s thick and rich, and they drink it warm. It’s good on a cold day, I reckon. They make it with corn flour, so it’s kinda like a warm, chocolatey porridge. They serve that a lot around the holidays. But that is not my cup of tea. I do not like that one. It is too thick.

They also have this fizzy drink called “Tepache”. It is made from pineapple. Sounds wired, right? They let the pineapple sit out and ferment a little. I know it doesn’t sound too good, but it’s actually kinda tasty. It’s sweet and tangy, and it’s got a little fizz to it. It’s like a natural soda pop. Good for your gut, they say.

So, you see, there’s a whole world of Mexican beverages non alcoholic out there. They ain’t just about that margarita stuff. They got drinks for every taste, and every occasion. And they’re all made with natural ingredients, mostly. Fruits, rice, corn… just good, wholesome stuff. They know how to live, them Mexican folks. So next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to quench your thirst, try one of these. You might be surprised at how much you like it. I like that Agua Fresca, they are my favorite. Especially in the hot summer.

Just remember, you don’t need no alcohol to have a good time. These drinks are proof of that. They’re tasty, they’re refreshing, and they’re good for ya. What more could you ask for? So go on, give ’em a try. You might just find your new favorite drink. Like I did. That Watermelon one. They really made something.
