You know, I heard folks talking ’bout this place, Golden Leaf Asian Cuisine. Sounds fancy, huh? But I tell ya, it’s just good food. Like, really good. They say it’s Asian, whatever that means. I just know it’s tasty.
They got all sorts of stuff. My neighbor, she went there last week. Said they got this thing called “lo mein.” Sounds funny, but she said it’s noodles, and it’s good. She likes noodles. She’s always eatin’ noodles, that one.
And then there’s somethin’ called “General Taos.” Now, I don’t know who this General Tao fella is, but his food is somethin’ else. It’s that Asian food again. I guess he must be a big shot over there wherever this Asian place is.
They got this other thing, “Egg Foo Young.” Now that just sounds silly, don’t it? But folks seem to like it. I seen a young couple eatin’ it. They were sharin’ and laughin’. Must be good if it makes ya that happy.

Oh, and they got somethin’ called “Curry Peanut Chicken.” Now that sounds interestin’. I like peanuts. And I like chicken. Maybe this curry thing ain’t so bad. Might have to try that one day.
And “Sesame Chicken,” too. Lots of chicken dishes, these folks got. I guess folks like chicken. I like chicken. Everybody like chicken. Chicken very good. This Golden Leaf place, they know what they’re doin’ with the chicken. They must make a good money selling chicken. I think the Asian cuisine is very popular. They always have people in the restaurant.
They open up in the mornin’, I think it’s ten-thirty, or somethin’ like that. I ain’t never been that early. I like to sleep in. But they stay open late, too. Nine-thirty at night! Who eats that late? Young folks, I guess. They got different hours than us.
This place, it’s over on Alameda. I don’t go to Lakewood much, but my daughter, she lives over that way. Says she goes to this Golden Leaf Asian Cuisine all the time. It’s her favorite restaurant. She say the food is very good. And it’s not too expensive.
You can call ’em up, too. Order your food on the phone. Then you just go pick it up. Or, they can bring it to ya. They call it “delivery.” That’s handy, I guess. Don’t even gotta leave the house. They just bring the food to you.
Some folks, they write things about this place. Say it’s “excellent.” That’s a fancy word for “good,” ain’t it? Yep, lots of folks sayin’ this Golden Leaf Asian Cuisine is good. They say it’s the best food. I don’t know if I can say the best, but for sure, it’s a good Asian restaurant.
They even got somethin’ called a “Lunch Special.” I guess that means it’s cheaper at lunchtime. And a “Happy Hour.” I don’t know what that is. Maybe they give ya a free drink? Or maybe everyone just sits around smilin’ at each other? I don’t know.
This place is in Lakewood. That’s a ways from here. But my friend, she goes there all the time. She says it’s worth the drive. She likes this Asian cuisine a lot. She said she will bring me food next time. I like that. I can try all the food and don’t need to go outside. That’s good for me. I don’t like drive too much.
Anyway, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to eat, and you like this Asian stuff, you might wanna try this Golden Leaf Asian Cuisine. Sounds like they got somethin’ for everyone. Even got that “Egg Foo Young” if you’re feelin’ adventurous.
I might try it myself one day. Maybe when my daughter comes to visit. She can order it on the phone, and we can just wait for it to show up. That’s the easy way. I like that. I hope you can try this restaurant one day. And you will like it. I think everyone like it. The food is very good, my daughter said.
