Okay, so the other day I decided to try out cooking pork tenderloin tips. I’d heard they’re pretty easy and turn out juicy if you do it right, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First off, I went and got myself about a pound of pork tenderloin. I figured that’s a good amount to start with. Then I trimmed off any excess fat ’cause, you know, gotta keep it somewhat healthy. After that, I cut the tenderloin into these bite-sized pieces, or “tips” as they call them. They looked pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Next, I heated up some oil in a big skillet over medium-high heat. While that was warming up, I sprinkled the pork pieces with just salt and pepper. Nothing fancy, just wanted to keep the flavors simple and let the pork shine.
Once the oil was hot, I tossed those pork tips into the skillet. I made sure not to overcrowd the pan – I wanted them to get a nice sear, not just steam. I cooked them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they got a nice golden-brown color. They were starting to smell amazing at this point.
- Sear the pork tips in a hot skillet
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side
Now, here’s where it gets a bit different. Instead of just finishing them in the pan, I transferred them to a preheated oven. I set it to 375°F (that’s about 190°C for those using Celsius). I popped the pork in there and let it roast for another 15-20 minutes, until the internal temperature reached 140°F. I used a meat thermometer to check – gotta make sure it’s cooked just right!
Rest and Serve
After they were done, I took the pork out of the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This is super important, they say, ’cause it lets the juices redistribute, making the meat even more tender.
Finally, I sliced up the pork and served it. Man, it was good! Super juicy and flavorful, and honestly, pretty easy to make. I might try adding some different seasonings next time, maybe some garlic or herbs, but even just with salt and pepper, it was a winner. I served it with some roasted veggies, but you could pair it with anything, really. Mashed potatoes would be awesome, or even just a simple salad. Anyway, if you’re looking for a quick and tasty meal, give pork tenderloin tips a try. You won’t regret it!
