Okay, so today I want to talk about this Indian place I tried out in Beaverton called Swagat Indian Cuisine. I’ve been on this kick lately where I’m trying out different Indian restaurants around town, and this one’s been on my list for a while. So, here’s how it all went down.
First off, I looked up the place online to see what people were saying about it. It’s always good to get a vibe check, you know? I saw some mixed reviews, but mostly positive stuff about the food being tasty and the service being decent. Plus, I noticed they were on Grubhub and Seamless, which is super convenient.

After checking out the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I headed over to the restaurant one evening, and the first thing I noticed was the aroma. Oh boy, it smelled amazing in there! Spices, curries, and all that good stuff. I was already getting hungry just standing there.
I got seated pretty quickly, and the waiter handed me the menu. It was huge! So many options, it was kind of overwhelming. I spent a good few minutes just browsing through it, trying to decide what to get. I saw they had some classic dishes like Murgh Makhani and Hyderabadi Biryani, which I’ve heard are pretty famous.
I ended up ordering a few different things to get a good variety. I started with some samosas because, well, who can resist those crispy little pockets of goodness? Then, I went for the chicken tikka masala, because that’s always a solid choice. And, of course, I had to get some naan bread to go with it. I opted for both plain and garlic naan. Can’t go wrong with that combo, right?
While I waited for the food, I took a look around the restaurant. It was nicely decorated, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. There were a few other people there, and it seemed like a popular spot. I could hear some Indian music playing softly in the background, which added to the ambiance.
The food arrived after a little while, and it looked and smelled even better than I had anticipated. The samosas were perfectly crispy, and the chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful. The naan was warm and fluffy, perfect for scooping up the curry. I dug in, and it was delicious! Everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right.
Here’s a little breakdown of what I ordered:
- Samosas: Crispy and savory, a great appetizer.
- Chicken Tikka Masala: Creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice.
- Plain Naan: Soft, fluffy, and perfect for dipping.
- Garlic Naan: Added a nice garlicky kick to the meal.
I finished my meal feeling pretty satisfied. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The service was good too – the waiter was friendly and attentive. I chatted with him a bit about the food, and he seemed knowledgeable about the dishes. He even recommended a few other things for me to try next time.
Overall, I had a great experience at Swagat Indian Cuisine. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I’ll definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes. If you’re in Beaverton and looking for some good Indian food, I’d say give this place a try. It’s worth it!
