Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get one of these 2-gallon glass beverage dispensers for a while now, and I finally decided to pull the trigger and grab one. Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey getting it set up and actually using it, but I think I’ve finally got the hang of it.
First off, finding the right one wasn’t super easy. There are so many options out there! I ended up going with one that had a metal stand and a stainless steel spigot. Figured those would be sturdy and last a long time. The thing is made of this thick, clear glass, which is nice because you can see exactly what’s inside and how much is left.

When it arrived, I was pretty excited to use it. I gave it a good wash and started to think about what to put in it first. I mean, the possibilities are kind of endless. It’s not just for regular drinks, you know? I’ve heard you can even make fizzy drinks in these things. Soda water, fruit juices, you name it.
My First Attempt
For my first attempt, I decided to keep it simple and just made some iced tea. Filled it up, added some ice, and let it chill. It looked pretty good sitting on my counter, not gonna lie. It can mix Concentrate with one or more other ingredients, I find it is very useful. The spigot worked fine, no leaks or anything, which was a relief. I had read some reviews where people had issues with leaky spigots, so I was a bit worried about that.
- Assemble the Dispenser: I made sure to assemble it properly according to the instructions.
- Prepare the Beverage: I brewed the iced tea separately and let it cool before pouring it in.
- Dispense and Enjoy: It was easy to dispense the tea into glasses. The flow was good, not too fast, not too slow.
Making Fizzy Drinks
After that, I got a little more adventurous and tried making some sparkling water. I added some sliced fruit for flavor, and it turned out pretty good! I still need to experiment a bit more with this, but it’s definitely doable. I saw some for sale online, like the “Better Homes Gardens 2 Gallon Ribbed Clear Glass Beverage Dispenser” and some cheaper ones like “Lsljs Kitchen Gadgets 3.5L Large” model. But I’m glad I got the one I did.
Cleaning Up
Cleaning it is a bit of a chore, to be honest. It’s big and kind of heavy, so you have to be careful when washing it. But it’s manageable. The spigot comes off, which makes it easier to clean that part thoroughly.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. It’s great for parties, or even just for having a nice big batch of a drink ready to go in the fridge. I’m already thinking about what to make next. Maybe some sangria? Or some lemonade? We’ll see!
