Okay, so I’ve been seeing these champagne jello cups all over social media lately, and I thought, “Why not give it a go?” They looked super fancy and perfect for a little get-together I was planning. I love trying new stuff, especially if it involves a bit of bubbly, so I got straight to work.
First, I gathered all my ingredients. You know, the usual suspects: some good champagne, gelatin powder, a bit of sugar, and water. I also grabbed some cute little plastic cups from my cupboard because presentation is everything, right? I didn’t want to use our good glasses in case things got messy.

I started by blooming the gelatin. Basically, I sprinkled the gelatin powder over some cold water in a bowl and let it sit there for a few minutes. It got all thick and spongy, which is exactly what we want. While that was happening, I poured the champagne into a saucepan. I gently heated it with the sugar, just until the sugar dissolved. You don’t want to boil it, just a nice, warm mix.
Next, I took the bloomed gelatin and added it to the warm champagne mixture. I stirred it all together until the gelatin was completely dissolved. It took a bit of whisking, but I got there in the end. This mixture was looking pretty good, and it smelled amazing.
Once everything was mixed well, I poured the liquid into my little plastic cups. I filled them up about three-quarters of the way, leaving a bit of space at the top. Then came the hardest part – waiting! I carefully placed the cups in the fridge and let them set for a few hours. It felt like forever, but I kept myself busy with other stuff. I have lots of things to do.
After about four hours, I checked on the jello cups. They were set perfectly! They had that nice, wobbly jello texture, and they looked so elegant. To make them even fancier, I added a little dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkled some edible glitter for that extra sparkle.
Final Result:
- They looked amazing, like something out of a magazine.
- They tasted even better. The champagne flavor was there, but it wasn’t too overpowering. It was a nice balance of sweet and bubbly.
- Everyone at my get-together loved them. They were a huge hit! People were asking for the recipe and everything.
So, yeah, that’s how I made champagne jello cups. It was a fun little project, and I’m definitely going to make them again. Maybe next time I’ll experiment with different flavors or add some fruit. The possibilities are endless, and it’s always a blast to try something new in the kitchen!
