Okay, so today I wanted to dig into something a little different, something a bit morbid maybe, but hey, it’s a part of life, right? I decided to look up obituaries from the Beverage-Lyons Funeral Home. Don’t ask me why, just got curious.
First thing I did was fire up my trusty old browser. Then, I typed in “Beverage-Lyons Funeral Home obituaries” into the search bar. I mean that is the title.

- Search for the funeral home: Initially, I just Googled “Beverage-Lyons Funeral Home” to see what would pop up.
- Look for an obituaries section: Most funeral home websites have a dedicated section for obituaries. I figured that’d be the easiest way to find what I was looking for. I clicked around their website a bit. Nothing, not a thing. They should have a better web.
- Use a search engine: If the website doesn’t pan out, you can always try a broader search. I tried searching for “Beverage-Lyons Funeral Home obituaries”.
- Explore other obituary sites: When all else fails, there are websites like * that aggregate obituaries from multiple sources. So I typed “obituaries” on that site to see if they have any connections to Beverage-Lyons.
Digging Deeper
After I found a few names, I started doing more specific searches. I wanted to see what else I could find out about these people. So I started to:
- Search individual names: I entered names like “Ellowynn Jean Henson”, “Mark William Stevenson”, “Debra L. Johnson” into Google to see if their obituaries were listed elsewhere.
- Check local resources: Sometimes, local libraries or historical societies keep records of obituaries. I found out that The Los Angeles County Library does three free obituary searches per month, which is pretty cool.
What I Found
Well, turns out Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services does list obituaries. There are names and some basic info. I even found out they do flower delivery for funerals. One obituary was for someone named “Rogene”. And also there are others, but I did not find any details about them.
It was an interesting little project, I guess. Kinda makes you think about life and all that. Anyway, that’s my little adventure for the day. Maybe tomorrow I’ll do something a little more cheerful.
