Today, I wanna talk about my experience with trying out Desi Chulha’s Indian cuisine. I’ve heard a lot about this place, and Indian food is something I’ve always been curious about. So, I finally decided to give it a shot.
First off, I started by looking up Desi Chulha online. Found their website pretty easily. They seem to be pretty well-known for serving up authentic Indian dishes. The website was easy enough to navigate, and I could see they had a location in Bedford, TX, which is not too far from me.

I scrolled through their online menu, and man, there were so many options! I saw something called “Hariyali Kabab” which was chicken pieces marinated in ginger garlic paste with cream, mint, and cilantro. Sounds interesting, right? Then there was another dish with boneless chicken in a light cream and almond paste sauce, seasoned with mild Indian spices. It said it was broiled in a clay oven and served with a garden-fresh salad. That sounded pretty good, too. Priced at $17.59, not too bad for a meal.
I also noticed that they had online ordering through some food delivery service, which was convenient. I mean, who doesn’t love getting food delivered to their doorstep?
After browsing, I decided to go with the boneless chicken dish. I placed my order, and the wait began. I was really curious to see if the food would live up to the hype. When the order arrived, the first thing I noticed was the aroma. It smelled really rich and spicy, in a good way.
I opened up the container and saw the chicken pieces covered in this creamy sauce, and the salad on the side looked fresh. I took my first bite, and wow, the flavors were intense! It was a mix of sweet, a bit sour, definitely salty, and a hint of spiciness. I read somewhere that Indian cuisine often balances six primary tastes, and this dish seemed to do just that.
- Sweet – from the almond paste and maybe a bit of sugar in the marinade.
- Sour – maybe some lemon or yogurt in there?
- Salty – well, that’s a given.
- Spicy – just a little kick, not overwhelming.
I kept eating, and the more I ate, the more I enjoyed it. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was so flavorful. It was definitely different from anything I’ve had before. I could taste the almond paste, which added a nice nutty flavor. The salad was a nice touch, too. It was crisp and refreshing, a good contrast to the rich chicken dish.
Overall, my experience with Desi Chulha’s Indian cuisine was pretty great. The food was delicious, the ordering process was easy, and the delivery was convenient. I’m definitely curious to try more Indian dishes in the future. I’ve heard of things like Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Samosa, which sound amazing. I guess it’s all subjective, but this was a good first experience for me. I’d recommend giving Desi Chulha a try if you’re into Indian food or just curious to try something new.
Final thoughts
If you’re looking for a solid Indian food experience, Desi Chulha seems like a good bet. I only tried one dish, but it left a good impression. I’m not an expert on Indian cuisine, but I enjoyed the flavors and the overall experience. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Bedford area or if you’re just looking to order some good Indian food online.
