Okay, let me tell you about this little adventure I had the other day. So, I was messing around, trying to find something to drink in Chicago. I really wanted to check out what kind of beverages were popular over there, you know?
First off, I started hitting up Google, just typing in “capital beverages” and seeing what popped up. Found a few places, like this one called “Capital One Caf,” which sounded pretty fancy. They say you can chill there and they have all these handcrafted drinks. Sounds nice, right?
Then, I dug a bit deeper and found out about this massive store called “Total Wine & More.” Apparently, they have like 8,000 types of wine, 3,000 spirits, and 2,500 beers! Can you believe that? They do online orders and delivery, too. It’s like a dream come true for anyone who loves a good drink.
After that, I looked up some top-rated spots on Yelp. There’s this place called “The Coffee & Tea Exchange” that seems pretty popular. And another one called “BAMBU.” There were also some interesting stores like “Real Soda Midwest” and “Foodsmart.” I even found a bookstore called “The Book Cellar” that serves drinks. Cool mix, huh?
I also checked out the best beverage stores listed on Yelp. “Uncork It!” sounded promising, and so did “Warehouse Liquors” and “Binny’s Beverage Depot.” There was another place called “Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar” that seemed to have a bit of everything.
Then I thought, what if I just wanted to order something to my place? So, I looked up alcohol delivery on Instacart for Chicago. They’ve got beer, wine, liquor, the whole shebang. Pretty convenient if you ask me.
But then, my mind started to wander, and I got curious about Seoul for some reason. I found out that the average hotel price there is about $45 a night, which is pretty cheap. It goes up to around $83 during peak season. They say you should stay there for at least 4 days to really get a feel for the city. But Seoul is also getting up there on the list of expensive cities, right after places like Hong Kong and New York.
So, after all that, I decided to make a list of places I wanted to check out in Chicago:
- Capital One Caf: For a fancy, relaxing time.
- Total Wine & More: To see that insane selection of drinks.
- The Coffee & Tea Exchange: Because it’s highly rated.
- BAMBU: Just to see what the hype is about.
- Uncork It!, Warehouse Liquors, Binny’s Beverage Depot: To compare the best beverage stores.
- Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar: For a bit of everything.
And I figured, if I ever get lazy, I can just use Instacart to get drinks delivered. As for Seoul, well, that’s a whole other adventure. Maybe I’ll save that for another time. Anyway, that’s how I spent my day, geeking out over beverages. It was actually pretty fun!
