So, I was craving some Thai food the other day, and I remembered someone mentioned this place called Anchan Thai. I figured, why not give it a shot? I looked it up, and it turns out there’s one in Longmont, at 1325 Dry Creek Dr, Ste 106. They’re open every day from 11 am to 9 pm, which is pretty convenient.
I decided to head over there for lunch. When I got there, I took a look at the menu. There were so many choices! I started with the fried Thai bread and some crispy egg rolls because I saw online that people liked them. They were pretty good, a nice way to kick things off.

Main Course
For the main course, I went with one of their signature dishes. I mean, they talked about perfecting recipes at home and then making them at the restaurant, that sounded serious to me. They mentioned something about five flavors – sweet, sour, bitter, salty. I was curious to see how they’d put it all together.
The food arrived, and man, it smelled amazing. I dug in, and it was a burst of flavors, just like they said. It was a good balance of everything, not too spicy, but with a nice kick. I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were decent too, I definitely didn’t leave hungry.
Overall Experience
Honestly, Anchan Thai turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but the food was worth it. Prices are okay, not too expensive. It seems they have a location in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, too, at 126 Bala Avenue. So, if you are in that area, you can check that one out.
The staff were friendly and knew their stuff about the menu, which is always a plus. I snapped some photos while I was there, like 48 of them. I love documenting my food adventures, you know?
- What I tried: Fried Thai bread, crispy egg rolls, and a signature Thai dish.
- What I liked: The balance of flavors, the portion sizes, and the friendly service.
- Would I go back? Definitely. It’s a solid spot for some good Thai food.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure at Anchan Thai. If you’re in Longmont, or Bala Cynwyd, and you’re in the mood for Thai, I’d say it’s worth checking out.
