Okay, so today, I felt like having some spring rolls, but I didn’t want to go through the whole fuss of making them from scratch. I remembered I had a box of Lean Cuisine spring rolls in my freezer, so I figured, why not give them a try?
I pulled out the box and checked the instructions. Pretty simple stuff. You can either microwave them or bake them in the oven. Since I wanted that crispy texture, I decided to go with the oven method.

I preheated the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, as the box instructed. While the oven was heating up, I grabbed a baking sheet and lined it with some parchment paper. This way, the spring rolls wouldn’t stick, and cleanup would be a breeze.
Once the oven was ready, I arranged the spring rolls on the baking sheet, making sure they weren’t touching each other. I popped them into the oven and set a timer for 15 minutes.
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400F.
- Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 3: Arrange spring rolls on the sheet.
- Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes.
Midway Check
After about 7 minutes, I took a peek at them. They were starting to brown up nicely. I gave them a little flip with some tongs to make sure they cooked evenly on all sides and put them back in for the remaining time.
When the timer went off, I carefully took the baking sheet out of the oven. The spring rolls looked golden brown and smelled pretty good! I let them cool down for a couple of minutes, ’cause I didn’t want to burn my tongue. You know how it is.
Finally, the moment of truth! I grabbed one of the spring rolls and took a bite. Not bad, not bad at all! They were surprisingly crispy for something that came out of a frozen box. The filling was a mix of veggies and some kind of chicken, and it was seasoned just right. I was expecting these to be pretty bland, but I was pleasantly surprised. One of my friends mentioned in a group chat that she tried these and thought the same thing, so I’m glad it wasn’t just me. I saw some other people online saying the same thing too, which is cool.
I ended up eating the whole box in one sitting. Yeah, I probably shouldn’t have, but they were just that good. Definitely a quick and easy snack when you’re craving spring rolls but don’t have the time or energy to make them yourself. I’d say these are a solid 8 out of 10. Will I buy them again? Probably. Would I recommend them? For sure!
