Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience at New Ling Ling Asian Cuisine Riverwalk:
So, the other day, I was strolling along the Riverwalk, you know, just enjoying the scenery and the nice weather. My stomach started to rumble. Time for some food, I thought. I’d heard some chatter about this place called New Ling Ling Asian Cuisine, and since I’m always up for trying new spots, especially when it comes to Asian food, I decided to check it out.

I walked in and the first thing that hit me was the vibe. It was kinda modern, but still cozy, you know? Not too fancy, but definitely not a hole-in-the-wall either. There were a bunch of people already there, which is usually a good sign. I grabbed a menu and started browsing.
The menu had a ton of options. We’re talking sushi, noodles, rice dishes, the whole nine yards. It took me a good while to decide what I wanted. I finally settled on some appetizers and a main dish. To start, I went with their spring rolls and some gyoza. For the main course, I decided to be a little adventurous and ordered their Kung Pao Chicken. It’s a classic, but I like to see how different places put their own spin on it.
While I was waiting for my food, I took a moment to observe my surroundings. The staff were zipping around, taking orders, serving food, and clearing tables. They seemed pretty efficient, and everyone looked like they were having a decent time. My food arrived quicker than I expected, which was awesome because I was starving.
The Food
- Spring Rolls: These were crispy and packed with veggies. They came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that was pretty standard, but still tasty.
- Gyoza: The gyoza were pan-fried to perfection. They had that nice crispy bottom and the filling was juicy and flavorful. They were a winner.
- Kung Pao Chicken: Now, for the main event. The Kung Pao Chicken was a generous portion, with big chunks of chicken, peanuts, and veggies all coated in that signature spicy sauce. The chicken was tender, the veggies still had a bit of crunch, and the spice level was just right for me – it had a kick, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
I demolished everything on my plates. The food was good, no doubt about it. I mean, it wasn’t the best Asian food I’ve ever had, but it definitely hit the spot. I paid my bill, which was pretty reasonable, and walked out feeling satisfied.
All in all, I’d say New Ling Ling Asian Cuisine is a solid choice if you’re in the Riverwalk area and craving some Asian grub. It’s got a good atmosphere, a wide variety of dishes, and the food is tasty. I’d probably go back again if I was in the neighborhood. Maybe next time I’ll try their sushi.
Well I just wanted to share this experience with all of you. Hope you enjoy it!
