Okay, so the other day I was thinking, “I need a fun baking project.” And then it hit me – why not try to make a bunch of desserts that start with the letter ‘S’? Sounded like a cool challenge, right?
Getting Started: The Brainstorm
First things first, I needed some ideas. I grabbed a pen and paper and just started jotting down every “S” dessert I could think of.

- Strawberry Shortcake
- S’mores Dip
- Snickerdoodles
- Strawberry pie
- Sugar Cookies
I figured I’d pick a few from the list that seemed doable and sounded yummy.
The Baking Begins
I started to make a Strawberry Shortcake.
First, I prepared the ingredients according to the recipe, such as flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, milk, and eggs.
After mixing these ingredients in a certain proportion, I began to bake.
I spread the mixed batter on a baking sheet and baked it in the oven at the right temperature and for the right amount of time until golden brown.
While the biscuits are baking, prepare the strawberries and cream.

Wash and slice fresh strawberries, then add an appropriate amount of sugar and let them sit for a while to let the strawberry juice come out.
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form, or you can use ready-made whipped cream.
After the biscuits are baked, take them out and let them cool.
Then, place a layer of biscuits on a plate, add a layer of strawberries and cream, and repeat to create a multi-layered strawberry shortcake.
Finally, garnish the top with a whole strawberry or a bit of mint leaf for decoration.

The Sweet Results
The strawberry shortcake was a hit. I also made a small cup of S’mores Dip.
I had a lot of fun with this little “S” dessert project. It was a good way to spend a weekend, and I ended up with some tasty treats. Might have to try desserts starting with another letter next time!
