Okay, here’s my blog post about making some super easy, no-bake German desserts:
So, I’ve been on this German food kick lately. I don’t know why, maybe it’s the colder weather, but I’ve been craving all things German. And, of course, that includes desserts! But I’m also lazy. Like, really lazy. So I needed something that didn’t involve turning on my oven. No-bake was the name of the game.

My No-Bake Adventure Begins
First, I spent like an hour on the internet, just scrolling through recipes. So many things looked good, but I needed EASY. No weird ingredients, no complicated steps. I finally managed to find some.
Kalte Schnauze (aka Cold Snout)
- I started melting chocolate and coconut oil and mix * took longer than I thought.
- Then,I need a loaf pan and put some parchment paper in it.
- I poured a little bit of the chocolate at the buttom, and put some butter cookies on it.
- Keep doing the layering until use all the chocolate.
- Put it into the fridge for a few hours.
That’s it. Seriously. It’s ridiculously simple, but so good. The cookies get a little soft from the chocolate, and the whole thing is just this perfect blend of crunchy and creamy. I ate, like, half the pan in one sitting. No regrets.
Kalter Hund (aka Cold Dog)
This one seems very simliar with the “Cold Snout” I made above.
- The steps are mostly the same.
- I just need use different cookies for this one.
It turned out great too. I was very glad for this one.
The Sweet, Sweet Success
So, yeah, that was my no-bake German dessert adventure. Super easy, super tasty, and perfect for a lazy baker like me. I’m definitely making these again. Maybe next time I’ll even try some variations, like adding some nuts or fruit. But for now, I’m just going to enjoy the fruits (or, uh, chocolates) of my very minimal labor.
