Okay, so I wanted to find some really good desserts that everyone would love for this big party I was throwing. I started by looking all over the internet for ideas.
First, I brainstormed what I wanted. It had to be something easy to make a lot of, and, you know, stuff most people like. I figured things like cookies, brownies, maybe some kind of fruit crumble would be good bets.

I searched on different websites and blogs, looking for recipes that had good reviews and didn’t seem too complicated. I made a big list of possibilities, writing down everything that caught my eye.
Narrowing It Down
After I had a ton of ideas, I started to narrow it down. Some recipes looked way too hard, with a million ingredients, so I crossed those off. I also thought about what would be easy to serve – individual portions are always a good idea for a crowd.
- I compared a few different chocolate chip cookie recipes.
- I looked at brownie recipes, both fudgy and cakey.
- I considered a mixed berry crumble, because it’s easy to make a big pan.
I even asked some friends what their favorite desserts were, just to get some more opinions.
Test Baking!
Then came the fun part – test baking! I picked three recipes that seemed the best: a classic chocolate chip cookie, a fudgy brownie recipe, and that berry crumble. I made a small batch of each one, following the instructions carefully (well, mostly carefully!).
My family helped me taste-test everything. We rated each dessert on things like taste, texture, and how easy it seemed to make a big batch.
The Winners!
The chocolate chip cookies were a HUGE hit – everyone loved them. The brownies were good, but a little too rich for some people. And the crumble? It was delicious, but a bit messy to serve.
So, I decided to go with the chocolate chip cookies and make a second batch. This time i made a HUGE batch of dough, and baked them up the day before the party. And you know what? They were perfect! Everyone grabbed them, they disappeared fast, and I got tons of compliments. Success!

Next time, maybe I’ll try mini cheesecakes…but for now, those cookies were definitely the best dessert for a crowd!
