Okay, so I’ve been meaning to try out this place, Joy Asian Cuisine in Aurora, for a while now. Heard some good things, and you know, I’m always up for some Asian food.
First, I tried to see if I could make a reservation. Checked their site, didn’t see anything. I tried searching for a reservation, no luck there. I even tried searching the name and see if anything for reservations came up. Nothing!

The Quest to Order
So, No reservations, I guess. Fine, I figured I’d just do takeout.
I started by browsing their menu online. It’s a pretty standard mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. I was feeling some sushi, so I decided to check out their rolls. They had the usual suspects – California rolls, spicy tuna, etc. – but also a few interesting-sounding special rolls.
I went with a classic – the Dragon Roll. Love that eel sauce. I also added a spicy crab roll to the mix. And because I can never resist a good appetizer, I threw in some edamame. Simple, but always hits the spot.
The Food Experience
I headed over to pick up my order, The place itself is pretty unassuming. It’s in a little strip mall, nothing fancy. Inside, it’s clean and the staff was friendly enough, and my food was all set to go. I live close so when I got home and opened up the containers, Everything was still warm.
The Dragon Roll was solid. Good amount of avocado and the eel was cooked just right. The spicy crab roll had a nice kick to * edamame was, well, edamame. Hard to mess that up.
The Verdict
Overall, Joy Asian Cuisine is a decent spot. I wouldn’t say this is authentic or anything mind-blowing, but the food quality, while not the best, is still very good, and the price, compared to other places, is also a very good deal.
If you are thinking of going there to eat, I think it’s a good place too, don’t expect anything fancy. It’s your typical local Asian restaurant.

I give them a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. I’ll definitely be back for some takeout when I’m in the mood for some quick and easy Asian food.
