Okay, so yesterday I decided to finally organize that messy folder of restaurant menus I’ve been collecting. You know, the ones you grab “just in case” and then never look at? Yeah, those. I wanted to focus on the “Mai Thai Cuisine” menu because I remember it having a ton of dishes, and I was curious to see how they structured it.
First, I grabbed the menu from the pile. It’s one of those glossy, tri-fold ones. Pretty standard.

Getting Started
I opened it up and laid it flat on my table. I noticed right away that they divided the menu into clear sections, which was super helpful. No searching through a jumble of dishes!
- Appetizers: Spring rolls, satay, that kind of thing.
- Soups: Tom Yum, Tom Kha… the classics.
- Salads: Papaya salad, yum!
- Curries: Red, green, yellow – all the colors of the rainbow!
- Noodles & Rice: Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, fried rice variations.
- Chef’s Specials: This is where they put the fancier, more unique dishes.
- Desserts: Sticky rice with mango, of course.
- Beverages: Thai iced tea, sodas, etc.
Deep Dive into Dishes
Next, I started reading through each section more carefully. What I really appreciated was that each dish had a short description. It wasn’t just a name and a price; they actually told you what was in it! This is huge for someone like me who’s not always familiar with every Thai dish.
I also noticed that some dishes were marked with little chili pepper icons. It looks they do one pepper for mild, two for medium, and I’ve even found three of them. Good to know for people who are spicy sensitive, great.
Organizing My Thoughts
After I went through the whole menu, I decided to jot down some notes. I listed out some of the dishes that sounded interesting to me, and I also made a note of the different curry options (because I always forget which one is which!).
Final thoughts
Honestly, going through this menu was way more interesting than I expected. It actually made me want to order from Mai Thai Cuisine again soon! Now that I have a better understanding of their menu, I feel like I can make a more informed (and delicious) decision next time. And plus, my menu folder is a little bit less chaotic now. Win-win!
