Okay, so today I decided to check out this place called Basil Indian & Thai Cuisine. I’ve been craving some good Indian food lately, and Thai is always a winner, so a place that does both? I was in!
Getting Started
First, I looked them up online to see the menu and make sure they were open. Gotta avoid that disappointment of showing up to a closed restaurant, you know?
The menu looked pretty extensive, with all the classic Indian dishes I love and a good selection of Thai options too. I was already getting hungry just reading it.
The Experience
I headed over there around lunchtime. It wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. I was seated right away by a friendly server.
I decided to go all-in on the Indian side of things this time. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (my go-to for judging an Indian restaurant), some garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Because, why not?
- Chicken Tikka Masala: The sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the chicken was nice and tender. Just the right amount of spice for me!
- Garlic Naan: Perfectly cooked, fluffy, and garlicky. Perfect for scooping up all that extra sauce.
- Mango Lassi: Sweet, creamy, and refreshing. A perfect complement to the spicy food.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I had a great experience at Basil. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I’ll definitely be going back to try their Thai dishes next time! I really enjoyed it.
