Okay, so I tried that “beef tips over noodles” thing in my crock pot. It’s been on my mind for a while, I saw someone mention it online, and I just had to give it a go. I mean, who doesn’t love a good, hearty meal that’s also easy to make?
First, I grabbed a nice chunk of beef, I think it was sirloin tip. I cut it up into these little bite-sized pieces, you know, so they’d cook evenly and get all tender. Then I tossed the beef into the crock pot.

Next, I poured in some beef broth, just enough to cover the meat. I also threw in some chopped onions and a couple of cloves of garlic, because flavor, right? Oh, and a bay leaf, because my grandma always said it makes a difference. I also added some Worcestershire sauce, just a dash, for that extra something-something.
I set the crock pot to low. The waiting was the hardest part! I think it took about 6 or 7 hours, I lost track. The house started to smell amazing, all beefy and oniony. My stomach was seriously rumbling. I could see the meat started getting tender, really tender.
While that was going, I cooked some egg noodles on the stove. You want those al dente, not mushy. No one likes mushy noodles. And I learned that the hard way, another time I left the noodles in the slow cooker for too long, and they were super mushy. So this time, I cooked noodles separately and they were perfect.
Once the beef was done, like, fall-apart tender, I took it out of the crock pot and shredded it with two forks. Easy peasy. Then, I stirred the shredded beef back into the sauce in the crock pot.
Finally, I ladled that delicious beef and sauce over the cooked noodles.
The Verdict:
- Appearance: It looked so good, all steaming and savory. The beef was glistening in the sauce.
- Taste: Oh man, it was even better than it looked. The beef was so tender, it just melted in my mouth. The sauce was rich and flavorful, with that nice onion and garlic kick.
- Would I make it again? Heck yeah! This is definitely going into my regular rotation. It’s easy, it’s delicious, and it makes the whole house smell fantastic.
So there you have it, my crock pot beef tips over noodles adventure. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!
