Okay, so it was Teacher Appreciation Week, and I really wanted to do something special for my kid’s teachers. I mean, these folks work hard, right? They deserve all the thanks we can give them. I decided to bake some treats because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good homemade dessert?
First, I scoured the internet for some easy recipes. I’m no master baker, so I needed something simple, preferably with just a few ingredients. I stumbled upon a list of easy baking recipes, like, five ingredients or less. Perfect! I figured I could handle that.

I decided to make three different things: chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and Rice Krispies treats. They’re all pretty classic, and I had most of the ingredients at home already. The cookies were up first. I whipped up the dough, which was super easy, just butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and of course, chocolate chips. I popped them in the oven and waited not-so-patiently for them to bake.
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Brownies
- Rice Krispies Treats
While the cookies were baking, I started on the brownies. Again, a super simple recipe. I mixed everything in one bowl, poured it into a pan, and stuck it in the oven with the cookies. Teamwork, right?
Lastly, the Rice Krispies treats. These are probably the easiest thing to make ever. I melted some butter and marshmallows in a pot, stirred in the cereal, and pressed the whole gooey mess into a pan to cool. Done and done.
Once everything was baked and cooled, I packed them up nicely in some cute little boxes I found. I even wrote little thank-you notes to each teacher. I wanted to add a personal touch, you know?
Presentation
The next day, I dropped off the treats at school. The teachers were so surprised and happy! It felt really good to do something nice for them. And you know what? Baking those treats wasn’t even that hard. It was actually kind of fun. Plus, my kitchen smelled amazing all day. So, yeah, that’s how I made some desserts for Teacher Appreciation Week. It was a small gesture, but I think it made a big difference. I’ll probably do it again next year, maybe try some new recipes. We’ll see!
