Alright guys, so today I wanna share my latest obsession: sprucing up my kitchen with some seriously cute girly accessories. I’m talking full-on pink, floral, and all things adorable. Here’s how it went down.
First things first, the inspiration hit me HARD. I was scrolling through Pinterest, as you do, and bam! Kitchens decked out in pastel colors and cute little details everywhere. I knew I needed that vibe in my life.
Next up: Damage Control! I had to take inventory of what I already had and figure out what needed an upgrade or complete overhaul. My old dish towels? Bland. My utensil holder? Utterly boring. My spice rack? A chaotic mess. The list went on.
The Shopping Spree Begins! I started with the small stuff. I hit up Target and snagged some super cute floral dish towels, a pink utensil holder, and a set of measuring cups in different shades of pastel. Then i went to my local art store and bought some cheap paint, brushes and a mason jar to act as a display for my paint brushes.
DIY Time! I found an old wooden shelf in the garage and decided to paint it a soft pink to create a girly spice rack. It took a couple of coats, but the result was so worth it. I bought some spice jars from amazon and transferred all my spices into the jars. The jars had white labels that i could write the spice names on. I got a set of chalk markers and went to town labeling all the spices. This part took some patience, but it was surprisingly therapeutic.
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize! No girly kitchen is complete without the right accessories. I added a cute little teapot, a set of pink mugs, and some faux flowers to brighten things up. I’m also obsessed with these little ceramic animals I found at a flea market – they add the perfect touch of whimsy.
The Big Reveal! Once everything was in place, I took a step back to admire my handiwork. And let me tell you, I was beaming. My kitchen went from blah to “wow!” in just a few simple steps.
