Okay, so, today I messed around with making some drinks, you know, like a homemade soda kind of thing. It all started when I saw this ad for Bragg’s Beverages, and I was like, “Hey, I bet I can whip something like that up myself.” So, that’s exactly what I did.
Getting Started
First off, I needed some stuff. I already had some apple cider vinegar at home, the Bragg’s one, actually. I figured that’s a good base, right? Then, I grabbed:

- Honey – because, well, everything’s better with a bit of sweetness.
- Sparkling water – gotta have those bubbles.
- Some lemons and limes – for that zesty kick.
- Fresh mint leaves – I just love the freshness it brings.
Mixing It Up
I started with a couple of tablespoons of that apple cider vinegar in a glass. I didn’t measure exactly, just eyeballed it. Then, I squeezed in the juice of half a lemon and half a lime. I like things tangy, you know? After that, I drizzled in some honey. I went for about a tablespoon, but you do you – add more or less depending on how sweet you like it.
Next up, I threw in a few mint leaves that I kinda bruised a little with my fingers to release the flavor. Then, I filled the glass with sparkling water, gave it a good stir, and popped in a few ice cubes to cool it all down.
Taste Test
Honestly, it was pretty darn good! It was fizzy, a bit tangy, a little sweet, and that mint really made it refreshing. It definitely wasn’t exactly like the Bragg’s drinks you buy in stores, but it was a fun little experiment. And hey, it felt good to make something from scratch.
Tweaking the Recipe
I made a few more glasses, playing around with the ingredients. One time, I added a bit of ginger, which gave it a nice spicy kick. Another time, I used maple syrup instead of honey, and that was a nice change, too. I even tried it with some berries smashed in, and that was a whole different vibe – like a fruity soda thing.
So yeah, that was my day of making drinks. It was a simple thing, really, but it was fun. And it got me thinking about all the other drinks I could try to make at home. Maybe I’ll try a homemade ginger ale next, or something with herbs. Who knows! The kitchen’s my playground now, I guess.
