Okay, guys, today I tried to make myself a Buttery Nipple shot. I’ve seen it around, and it just sounds so good, right? A sweet little treat after a long day.
So, first off, I had to get my hands on the ingredients. I already have some Irish cream at home, the one that’s left from St. Patrick’s Day, you know, the usual. But I didn’t have any butterscotch schnapps.

I went to the liquor store nearby. This place is awesome, by the way, they have everything! Anyway, I asked the guy at the counter for butterscotch schnapps, and he pointed me to this aisle with all kinds of flavored schnapps. I grabbed a bottle of butterscotch schnapps that looked decent. It wasn’t too pricey, which is always a plus.
Mixing Time
Back home, I got out a shot glass and started pouring. I filled the shot glass about halfway with the butterscotch schnapps. I have to say, it smelled amazing, just like those butterscotch candies I used to love as a kid. Seriously, who comes up with these names for drinks? Is it just me, or does “Buttery Nipple” sound kind of weird?
Next, I carefully layered the Irish cream on top. I used the back of a spoon to pour it slowly, so it wouldn’t mix too much with the schnapps. I saw someone on Pinterest do it that way, and it seemed pretty easy. It actually worked out pretty well! You could see the two layers, which looked cool.
The Taste Test
Alright, time for the taste test. I took a sip, and man, it was sweet! Maybe a bit too sweet for me, honestly. The butterscotch flavor was strong, and the Irish cream added a nice, creamy touch. But together, it was a bit much. It’s definitely a dessert shot, not something I’d drink a lot of.
Here’s a little list of what I used:
- Butterscotch Schnapps
- Irish Cream
- Shot glass
- Spoon
Overall, it was a fun experiment. I mean, I won’t complain about having a bottle of butterscotch schnapps in my cabinet now, you know? It’s something different. Would I make it again? Maybe, but I’d probably try to find a way to tone down the sweetness a bit. Maybe add something else to balance it out, or just use less of each ingredient. We’ll see! Today, I’m going to see what else I can do with this butterscotch stuff. Wish me luck!
