Today, I decided to make some candy cane Christmas desserts. I’ve been seeing them everywhere, and they look so festive and yummy, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
I started by gathering all the ingredients. Cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and of course, candy canes – the stars of the show. I also grabbed some chocolate because, let’s be honest, chocolate makes everything better. I got all my stuff together and made sure I had everything I needed. This was going to be fun!

First, I crushed the candy canes. It took time but it’s not hard. I put them in a bag and used a rolling pin to smash them into smaller pieces. The sound was pretty satisfying, to be honest. It felt good to crush something! Then, I mixed the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff in a bowl. I stirred them together until they were all smooth and creamy. It was pretty easy to do, and I made sure there were no lumps.
Then, I folded in some of the crushed candy canes into the cream cheese mixture. I wanted that minty flavor in every bite. I kept some candy cane pieces aside for decoration later, too. I got to taste a bit of the mixture, and boy, it was good! It got me excited for the finished product.
Here are the steps I did:
- Crush the candy canes into small pieces.
- Mix the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff until smooth.
- Fold in some crushed candy canes into the mixture.
Next, I melted some chocolate. I used a double boiler, but a microwave would work just as well. Melt, melt, melt… and done! After melting, I took the mixture, I rolled them into small balls, and then dipped them into the melted chocolate. I made sure each ball was fully covered. It was a bit messy, but that’s part of the fun, right? The chocolate smelled so good, and I couldn’t wait to take a bite.
Once the balls were coated, I sprinkled the remaining crushed candy canes on top. It gave them such a nice, festive look. Plus, the extra crunch is always a good idea. This part was also fun. After that, I put them in the fridge to set. The waiting was the hardest part because I just wanted to eat them right away. I set a timer and tried to distract myself by cleaning up the kitchen. Time seemed to move so slowly.

Finally, after what felt like forever, they were ready. I took them out of the fridge and took a bite. The combination of the creamy, minty filling, the crunchy candy cane, and the rich chocolate was amazing. It felt like Christmas in my mouth! They were so good; I was really proud of myself. I couldn’t believe I made something so delicious.
So, that’s how I made candy cane Christmas desserts. It was a fun little project, and the results were delicious. I might make these again for our Christmas party. I think everyone will love them. I’m already thinking of other variations I could try. Maybe next time, I’ll add some nuts or use different types of chocolate. The possibilities are endless!

All in all, it was a good day in the kitchen. I’m glad I tried this out, and I’m excited to share these treats with my family and friends. I might even make a tradition out of it. Who knows? Maybe next year, I’ll come up with an even better recipe. But for now, I’m just going to enjoy these delicious treats I made. Happy holidays, everyone!
