Okay, so I’ve been craving Thai food like crazy lately. I finally decided to check out this place called Pon’s Thai Cuisine. I’d heard some good things, and, well, I was in the mood to try something new.
First off, I looked around online to see what the menu was like. I saw a couple of places mentioned a “2B Thai” in Elizabethtown, which is close by, and it made me wonder if it was the same type of food. Their menu looked pretty similar, with all the usual suspects like Pad Thai and curries. They had options with chicken, shrimp, or tofu, served with lettuce, bean sprouts, basil, and cucumber.

I ended up just calling Pon’s directly to see what the deal was. I looked around for information of Pon’s. I looked up the number and gave them a ring. The guy on the phone was super friendly and walked me through their specials. He said they had some dishes with chicken, beef, and seafood. The descriptions of the menu are so inviting.
Getting there was no problem. They had plenty of parking, which is always a plus. I walked in and the place was clean and smelled amazing. They had some nice decorations, nothing too over the top, just a nice, comfortable vibe. There are not too many people, so the atmosphere is nice and quiet. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a bonus.
I decided to start with the spring rolls. They were crispy and filled with veggies and some kind of clear noodles. The dipping sauce was sweet and a little spicy, just how I like it. I also noticed they had information about being kid-friendly from my browsing on Tripadvisor, which is good to know for the future.
For my main course, I went with the Pad See Ew with chicken. I also asked for their spicy one. It’s flat noodles stir-fried with some kind of soy sauce, and some other ingredients like egg, and Chinese broccoli. When it came out, it was a huge portion! The noodles were cooked perfectly, not too soft, not too hard. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was savory with a hint of sweetness. It was seriously delicious. I also saw other people ordered some green curry. I decided to try that next time.
I was so full by the end of it all, but I managed to squeeze in some mango sticky rice for dessert. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The rice was warm and sticky, and the mango was sweet and juicy.
Overall, I’d give Pon’s Thai Cuisine a big thumbs up. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back. Maybe next time I’ll try their curries, or maybe that 2B Thai place in Elizabethtown to see how it compares.
