Alright, let’s talk about this Wah Sing place, the one with the Chinese and Polynesian food. I ain’t never been to Polynesia, but the food, well, it’s somethin’ else.
First off, you gotta know where to find it. They got two places, see? One’s in Franklin, on East Central Street. That’s 285 East Central Street in Franklin, mind you. The other one? That’s up in Mahwah, on Franklin Turnpike. 115 Franklin Turnpike in Mahwah, to be exact. Don’t get ‘em mixed up now!

Now, about the food. They got all sorts of things. Chinese food, you know, like noodles and rice and stuff. And then this Polynesian thing. I ain’t sure what all that is, but it tastes good. They got somethin’ called “Wah Sing Chinese,” which I guess is their special stuff. It’s the best Chinese food in Franklin, so they say. I ain’t arguing, it’s pretty darn good.
You wanna eat there, you got choices. You can go right in and sit down. Or, if you’re like me and sometimes just wanna stay in your comfy pants, you can order it to go. Takeout, they call it. Or, fancy folks can get it delivered right to their door. No delivery fee on your first order, how about that! And get this, you can even order online! They even let you watch your food on its way, like it’s some kind of space ship tracking thing. Technology these days, I tell ya.
- Noodles: They got all kinds. Thin ones, thick ones, some with chicken, some with beef. My favorite’s the one with the shrimp. They don’t skimp on the shrimp, which is good. I hate when places give you like two little shrimps and call it shrimp noodles.
- Rice: Fried rice, white rice, brown rice. You name it, they got it. The fried rice is my go-to. It’s got all sorts of stuff in it, little bits of meat and vegetables. Fills you right up.
- Chicken dishes: Sweet and sour chicken, General Tso’s chicken, sesame chicken. I like the sweet and sour, myself. Not too spicy, just the way I like it. The General Tso’s is a bit too hot for my taste, but my grandson, he loves it. Kids these days, they like everything spicy.
- Beef dishes: Beef and broccoli, pepper steak, all that good stuff. The beef is always tender, not chewy like some places. You know how some places, the beef is like trying to chew on a rubber band? Not here. It’s good stuff.
- Polynesian stuff: Now, this is where it gets interesting. I don’t even know what half of it is, but it’s tasty. They got somethin’ with pineapple, some kinda sweet and tangy thing. And there’s this other thing, it’s got meat on a stick. I ain’t sure what kind of meat, but it’s good. My husband, he likes the one with the coconut. He says it reminds him of when he was in the war, down in the Pacific somewhere.
Now, about that menu. They got a menu, of course. But sometimes, these menus, they ain’t always right. They change things, they add things, they take things away. So, the best way to see what they got is to go on their website, or just give ‘em a call. Or just go there yourself. That’s what I do mostly.
Let me tell you something, their food, it’s real good. It ain’t fancy, mind you. It’s just good, honest food. The kind that fills you up and makes you feel good. And the prices, they ain’t bad either. You can feed a whole family without breakin’ the bank. Which is important these days, with everything so expensive.
So, if you’re lookin’ for some good Chinese and Polynesian food, go on down to Wah Sing. Either the one in Franklin or the one in Mahwah. You won’t be disappointed. Just remember what I told ya. 285 East Central Street in Franklin or 115 Franklin Turnpike in Mahwah. And don’t forget, you can order online, get takeout, or even have it delivered. Now, I’m gettin’ hungry just talkin’ about it. I think I might have to go get myself some of that sweet and sour chicken. Yeah, that sounds good right about now.
One last thing, if you do go, tell ‘em old Betty sent ya. They probably won’t know who I am, but it makes me feel good to say it anyway. And don’t forget to try that Polynesian stuff. It’s somethin’ different, and life’s too short to just eat the same old thing all the time. Wah Sing Chinese Polynesian Cuisine, remember that name. It’s a mouthful, but the food is worth it.
And if something on the menu ain’t right, you go ahead and tell ’em. They need to know these things. Keeping that menu up to date is important, you know. Can’t be having people ordering something they don’t have. That’s just bad business. So, you be a good citizen and help them out with those menu corrections if you see something wrong. Good food, good price, and good people. That’s all you need, right?
