Okay, let’s talk about this super easy meatball casserole I threw together the other day. Seriously, it’s like the ultimate “I don’t wanna cook” meal, but it still tastes pretty darn good. We’re calling it “Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole” because, well, that’s exactly what you do!
The Prep Work (Barely Any!)
First, I grabbed a bag of frozen meatballs. You know, the pre-cooked kind. Any flavor you like, really. I went with Italian style this time, but homestyle or even turkey meatballs would work.

Then, I opened a jar of my favorite marinara sauce. Nothing fancy, just the regular stuff I always have in the pantry. I poured about half of it into a 9×13 inch baking * enough the get the bottom good and covered.
Assembly Time (It’s Literally Dumping)
- I dumped the whole bag of frozen meatballs right into the baking dish, on top of that layer of sauce.
- I poured rest of the marinara sauce all over the meatballs. Made sure they were all swimming in that saucy goodness.
- Lastly, I sprinkled a generous layer of mozzarella cheese over the sauced meatballs.
Bake and Enjoy!
I covered the dish with foil and slid it into a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). I baked it for about 30 minutes, then took off the foil and baked for another 15 minutes, until the cheese was all melted and bubbly and starting to brown just a little.
And that’s it! Seriously. I pulled it out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes (because, you know, molten cheese), and then we dug in. You can serve it with pasta, garlic bread, or just eat it straight out of the dish like we did. No judgment here!
It’s super simple, super cheap, and surprisingly satisfying. Perfect for a weeknight when you just can’t even with cooking. Hope you give it a try!
