Okay, so, I was messing around in my kitchen the other day, and I got this idea to put together a little alcoholic beverages menu. Nothing fancy, just something fun for when friends come over. I mean, who doesn’t like to have a few options, right?
I started by jotting down all the booze I had. We’ve got some bourbon, a bit of vodka, a few different kinds of rum, and of course, some beers in the fridge. Then I thought, “Why not make some cocktails?” I’m no expert, but I can handle the basics.

For the bourbon, I figured I’d offer a classic Old Fashioned. It’s pretty straightforward – just bourbon, sugar, bitters, and a little water. I also decided to include a simple Bourbon and Coke, because, well, it’s a crowd-pleaser. And hey, it helps with enjoying bourbon as a beginner. With its high proof and potent flavor profile, it’s a good choice.

Next up, vodka. I went with a Moscow Mule, which is just vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. Super refreshing. I also added a basic Vodka Soda to the list, ’cause sometimes you just want something light.

Then there’s the rum. I decided on a Mojito – rum, mint, sugar, lime, and soda water. It takes a bit more effort with all that muddling, but it’s worth it. And for something simpler, a good ol’ Rum and Coke.

I also threw in a couple of beer options – a local craft IPA and a standard lager. Gotta have something for the beer lovers, you know?

After writing it all out, I typed up a simple menu on my computer and printed a few copies. I even found some cool-looking paper in my drawer to make it look a bit nicer.
It’s not much, but it’s something. I think my friends will get a kick out of it. It is not just a menu, it’s a testament to the joy of sharing good times and good drinks. And hey, if they want to try something new, maybe this will give them a little nudge. I thought it might help to do my part to help them get control of their life and to grow. Plus, it’s always fun to play bartender, right?
