Okay, so I’ve been seeing Hatfield pork loins on sale at the grocery store lately, and I finally decided to grab one and try to make something tasty. I’m no chef, but I do like experimenting in the kitchen. So, here’s how my Hatfield pork loin adventure went down.
First, I unwrapped the pork loin. It was a pretty good size, about 2 pounds, I think. It already came pre-seasoned, which was convenient, but, to be frank, not what i want, it’s labeled “Tuscan Herb,” whatever that means. Anyway, i need to add some my favorite spices.

I patted the pork loin dry with some paper towels. This helps with browning, or so I’ve read. Then, I grabbed my favorite spice rub – a mix of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and a little bit of brown sugar for some sweetness. I rubbed that mixture all over the pork loin, making sure to get every nook and cranny.
Cooking Time
Now for the cooking part. I have an air fryer, and I thought, why not?
I have also a oven, It’s my backup plan.
- I preheated the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- I placed the seasoned pork loin in the air fryer basket.
- I set the timer for about 25 minutes, because i use air fryer. and 45 minutes for oven.
While the pork was cooking, I started thinking about what to serve with it. I had some potatoes and carrots, so I decided to roast those up. I chopped the vegetables into bite-sized pieces, tossed them with some olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread them on a baking sheet. I put the baking sheet in the oven (which I had also preheated) alongside the air fryer.
After about 20 minutes, I checked the internal temperature of the pork loin with a meat thermometer. I was aiming for 145°F (63°C), which is the safe temperature for pork. It wasn’t quite there yet, so I let it cook for another 5-7 minutes.
Final Result
Finally, the thermometer read 145°F! I removed the pork loin from the air fryer and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Resting is important because it allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful final product.

The roasted vegetables were also nicely browned and tender. I sliced the pork loin and served it with the roasted vegetables.
It turned out pretty good! The pork was juicy and flavorful, and the roasted vegetables were a perfect complement. I gotta say, using the air fryer was a good for me, especially using oven take more time and require some other extra steps. Next time, I might try a different marinade or sauce, but overall, I was pretty happy with my Hatfield pork loin experiment!
