Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Sahara Mediterranean food place, the stuff they got on their menu. I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it, but my grandbaby showed me this here internet thingy and I gotta say, it’s somethin’ else.

So, first off, they got them “appetizers”. Fancy word for snacks, I reckon. They got somethin’ called falafel. Sounds like a bird, don’t it? But it ain’t. It’s like little fried balls made outta beans or somethin’. Then there’s hummus. That’s mashed up chickpeas, smooth like butter. My grandbaby says you dip stuff in it, like pita bread. Pita bread is round and flat, kinda like a pancake but not sweet.
Next up, they got soups and salads. Now, soup I understand. Keeps ya warm in the winter. But these salads, they ain’t like the ones I make with lettuce and tomatoes from the garden. They got all kinds of fancy stuff in ’em. Olives, feta cheese (that’s the crumbly white stuff), and I dunno what all else. They sound kinda healthy, though.
- Soups: I hear they got lentil soup. Lentils are like little beans, real good for ya. They probably got other kinds too, but I can’t remember ’em all.
- Salads: They got Greek salad, with all that feta cheese I told ya about. And they got somethin’ called tabbouleh, which is made with parsley and bulgur wheat. Never heard of it, but my grandbaby says it’s good.
Then comes the main dishes, or whatever they call ’em. They got shawarma. That’s meat, usually chicken or lamb, cooked on a big ol’ stick that spins around. They slice it real thin and put it in a wrap or on a plate. They also got kebab, which is meat cooked on a skewer. Same kinda deal, you can get it in a wrap or on a plate.
And don’t forget the rice! They got all kinds of rice. Plain rice, rice with spices, rice with veggies. Rice is good, fills ya up. You can eat it with anything, really.
They also got them sandwiches and wraps. Like I said, you can get shawarma or kebab in a wrap. But they got other stuff too. They got sandwiches with falafel, hummus, all kinds of stuff. Easy to eat on the go, I guess.

Now, my grandbaby showed me some prices too. It ain’t cheap, I tell ya. But I guess that’s what you get for fancy food. She says it’s worth it, though. Says it’s real tasty and different from the stuff we eat around here.
I also saw somethin’ about Wi-Fi. Don’t know what that is, but my grandbaby says it’s for the internet. So I guess you can use your phone or somethin’ while you’re eatin’. And they take reservations, too. That means you can call ahead and save a table. Fancy, huh?
Anyways, that’s about all I can remember about this Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine menu. It’s a whole lot of stuff I ain’t used to, but it sounds kinda good. Maybe I’ll get my grandbaby to take me there someday. Try some of that falafel and hummus. See what all the fuss is about.
This place, Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine, is in Lexington, Kentucky, just so ya know. If you’re ever around there, you might wanna check it out. My grandbaby says it gets good reviews. Folks seem to like it, so it must be somethin’ special.
So there ya have it, a rundown of that menu, best as I can remember it. It’s a lot to take in, but it seems like they got somethin’ for everyone. Even an old lady like me might find somethin’ I like. You never know ’til you try, right?
