Okay, here’s my blog post about using crushed pineapple, written in a casual, conversational style, focusing on my personal experience:
So, I had this big can of crushed pineapple sitting in my pantry. You know, one of those impulse buys that you get and then totally forget about? Yeah, that was this.

I figured I needed to do something with it before it went bad. I’m not a huge fan of just eating plain crushed pineapple, it’s a bit…much. So, I went on a little mission to find some good uses for it.
My Pineapple Experimentation
First, I tried the obvious: adding it to my morning smoothie. It was pretty good! I just tossed in a couple of spoonfuls with my usual banana, spinach, and protein powder. Gave it a nice tropical twist.

Next, I got a bit more adventurous. I found this recipe for a pineapple salsa, and it was surprisingly easy. I chopped up some red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro, then mixed it all together with the crushed pineapple and a squeeze of lime juice. Oh, and a pinch of salt, of course. We ate that with tortilla chips, and it was gone in, like, minutes.

Then, because I still had a ton of pineapple left, I decided to bake something. I’m not a great baker, to be honest, but I found a super simple recipe for pineapple muffins. It was basically just a standard muffin recipe, but you add in the crushed pineapple (drained, of course!) and a little bit of the juice. They turned out surprisingly well! A bit moist, a bit sweet, and definitely pineapple-y.
- Pineapple muffins basic process: Prepare a regular muffin batter, add the drained crushed pineapple and also pour a little pineapple juice!
Finally, I am very satisfied that I used up the crushed pineapple!
