I felt like Thai food today, so I decided to check out this place called Grata Thai Cuisine. I found it online, and it’s located at 1099 1st Ave in New York. Seemed like a good spot to satisfy my craving.
First, I checked out their hours. Looked like they were open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm every day, which was pretty convenient. I decided to go there around dinner time.

So, I got there and the place had a real cozy vibe. I grabbed a table, and a waiter came over right away. He gave me the menu, and I started to look through it.
They had all kinds of stuff – appetizers, soups, lunch specials, spicy salads, fried rice, and curries. It all sounded really good, so it took me a little while to decide.
What I Ordered
- Appetizer: I started with some spring rolls. They were crispy and filled with veggies.
- Soup: Next, I got a bowl of Tom Yum soup. It was spicy and sour, just how I like it.
- Main Course: For the main course, I went with the Pad Thai. It’s a classic, and I figured it would be a good test of their cooking.
- Dessert: I ended the meal with some mango sticky rice. Sweet and satisfying.
While I was waiting for the food, I looked around a bit. The place was pretty busy, but the service was still quick. My appetizer arrived first, and I dug in. The spring rolls were great – crispy on the outside, and the filling was tasty.
Next up was the Tom Yum soup. It was just what I wanted. A good balance of spicy and sour. It definitely warmed me up.
Then came the Pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was flavorful. It was a generous portion, too. I was starting to get full, but I couldn’t resist finishing it.
Finally, the dessert arrived. The mango sticky rice was the perfect way to end the meal. The mango was sweet and juicy, and the sticky rice was just right.
I paid the bill and left the restaurant feeling pretty satisfied. The food was good, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. They accept AMEX, Discover, Mastercard, and VISA, which was convenient. If you are into Thai food and find yourself around, you might want to give Grata Thai Cuisine a try.
