Okay, so I saw this recipe for brownies online, and it looked super easy. Only three ingredients! I thought, “No way, that can’t be right,” but I had to try it. I’m a sucker for anything chocolate, especially brownies. I grabbed the condensed milk, some cocoa powder, and an egg.
First, I preheated my oven to like 350 degrees. While that was warming up, I got a big bowl and poured in the whole can of condensed milk. It was so thick and gooey, I had to use a spatula to get every last bit out. Next, I measured out the cocoa powder. I think it was about a cup, but I just kinda eyeballed it. I dumped that into the bowl with the condensed milk. It was a cool look, you can see the white condensed milk mixed with the brown cocoa powder.

Then, I cracked the egg into the mixture, it’s kind of important for this. I took a whisk and mixed everything together. It took a little while for the cocoa powder to fully incorporate, but I just kept whisking until it was all smooth and combined. Like a chocolate river, it is beautiful.
I greased an 8×8 baking pan with some butter. I didn’t have any parchment paper on hand, but the butter worked just fine. I poured the brownie batter into the pan and spread it out evenly with my spatula. It was pretty thick, so I made sure to get it into all the corners.
I popped the pan into the preheated oven and set a timer for 25 minutes. While I waited, I cleaned up the mess I made. There was cocoa powder everywhere! It should be delicious.
After 25 minutes, I checked the brownies with a toothpick. I stuck it into the center, and it came out with just a few moist crumbs, which is what I wanted. I took the brownies out of the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack. It was torture waiting for them to cool, but I knew they’d taste better if I did. Patience is important for any delicious food.
Finally, after what felt like forever, the brownies were cool enough to cut. I sliced them into squares and took a bite. Oh my goodness, they were so fudgy and chocolatey! I couldn’t believe that such a simple recipe could produce such amazing results. If you are a fudgy brownie lover, you must try it.
- Sweetened condensed milk: A whole can, make sure it’s the sweetened kind!
- Cocoa powder: About a cup, but you can adjust to your liking.
- Egg: Just one, to bind everything together.
Tips
Don’t overbake the brownies, or they’ll be dry. If you use the different size of the pan, you should change the baking time. They should still be a little soft in the center when you take them out. You can add other things like nuts or chocolate chips to the batter if you want, and make it more delicious. I might try that next time. Or maybe even some sea salt on top. Yum!
