This here’s about that Tipsy Leprechaun drink, you know? That green drink everyone’s hollerin’ about. I heard folks talkin’, and I thought, “Well, I gotta see what that’s all about.”
First off, it’s green. Like, really green. Like that grass after a good rain. I reckon that’s why they call it a leprechaun thing. You know those little fellas in stories? This here drink, it’s like somethin’ they’d be sippin’ on, I bet.

Now, I ain’t one for fancy drinks, usually. Give me a good ol’ beer any day. But this Tipsy Leprechaun recipe, it got my attention. They say it’s got that melon stuff in it. You know, Midori? Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ from a movie. And some vodka, that clear stuff that can make you a little silly if you ain’t careful. And some pineapple juice, that’s always good. Sweet, you know?
So, how you make this thing? Well, from what I gather, you gotta get yourself one of them shakers. Like a cocktail shaker. You ever seen them bartenders in the movies? They shake them things like they’re mad at ’em. Anyway, you put some ice in there. Lots of ice, they say.
Then, you pour in that melon stuff. That Midori. I ain’t sure how much, but I reckon not too much or it’ll be too sweet. Then the vodka. Now, that’s the strong stuff. Be careful with that. You don’t want to be fallin’ over after one drink!
- Ice – lots of it.
- That green melon stuff, Midori.
- Vodka, the clear stuff. Be careful!
- Pineapple juice, for sweetness.
And then, that pineapple juice. That’ll make it taste a little better, I suppose. Mix it all up, shake it like crazy, and there you go. That’s what they’re callin’ a Tipsy Leprechaun. I guess that is the Tipsy Leprechaun recipe. A little green, a little strong, a little sweet.
Some folks, they also put that lemon-lime soda in it. You know, like Sprite or 7-Up. Makes it bubbly, I guess. I don’t know, seems like a lot of work for a drink. But hey, to each their own, right?
I heard someone say somethin’ about a “golden ratio.” Sounded important. They said it’s 2 parts of the strong stuff, 1 part sweet, and 1 part sour. I don’t know about all that. Just seems like you need a little bit of everything to make it taste right. I guess if you like the taste, it don’t matter too much how much of what is in it, huh?
Now I heard them say this drink has something called Jameson Irish Whiskey, and that blue stuff, and some lemon sour. I don’t know what that blue stuff is, but I guess it is what makes it fancy. And lemon sour, well, that just sounds like somethin’ that makes your mouth pucker.

Anyway, this Tipsy Leprechaun drink, it’s all the rage these days. ‘Specially around that St. Patrick’s Day, or whatever it is. That’s when everyone’s wearin’ green and actin’ a fool. Maybe that’s why they drink this green drink, to match their clothes. I seen a picture of this drink one time and they called it a clover cocktail. I guess cause it is green like a clover.
I don’t know if I’ll ever try one of these Tipsy Leprechaun things. Like I said, I’m more of a beer person. But it’s interestin’ to hear about, ain’t it? All these different drinks people come up with. It’s a crazy world, ain’t it?
So, if you’re feelin’ adventurous, you can try this Tipsy Leprechaun recipe. Just remember what I said about that vodka. Go easy on it. And don’t go dancin’ on any tables, now. You ain’t as young as you used to be!
I reckon that’s all I got to say about this Tipsy Leprechaun thing. It’s green, it’s got melon stuff, and it’s got vodka. And maybe some pineapple juice and that lemon-lime soda. Oh, and that blue stuff and lemon sour, if you are feeling real fancy. Sounds like a whole lot of somethin’ to me. I hope you all understand that Tipsy Leprechaun recipe now. Make sure you get that shaker and lots of ice!
