Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another food adventure. Today, I want to talk about my experience diving into Vietnamese cuisine at this place called Huong Thao. I’ve been craving some authentic Vietnamese food lately, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
So, I started by checking out their menu online. They’ve got all the usual suspects like pho, clay pot rice, and those tasty banh mi sandwiches. But what really caught my eye was this thing called the “Huong Thao Special.” Sounded interesting, so I decided that’s what I’d go for.

Getting Down to Business
- I placed my order directly through their site. Easy peasy.
- Waited for a bit. You know how it is, good food takes time.
When the food arrived, man, it smelled heavenly. I dug into the Huong Thao Special, which was priced at $14.95, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It had all these different flavors going on, with shredded green papaya, carrot, some pork and shrimp, and a bunch of other stuff like cilantro and basil. And they tossed it all in this house vinaigrette dressing that just tied everything together.
They also give you a choice of beef. I went with the scaled beef, but you could get boiled beef or tripe too. I heard from someone that they have consistently good food, so that made me more excited to try it.
The Vibe
Aside from the food, the place itself had a pretty chill atmosphere. The service was friendly, the kind that makes you feel right at home. It felt like one of those hidden gems that you stumble upon and are super glad you did. Some people online were saying it’s a gem worth visiting, and I totally agree.
So, I finished up my meal, feeling pretty satisfied. This place, Huong Thao, it’s definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re into Vietnamese food or just looking to try something new. I mean, I even saw some traveler reviews and photos online, and they all seemed to be saying the same thing – that the food is amazing.
That’s it for my food journey today, folks. Keep it real, and until next time, happy eating!
