Alright, let’s talk about this Inaka Asian Cuisine place, ya know, the one down on Vanderbilt Avenue. I ain’t no fancy city slicker, but I know good food when I taste it, and I’ve got a thing or two to say about this joint.

First off, finding the place ain’t too hard. It’s at 597 Vanderbilt Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238. Easy enough for an old gal like me to remember. They got all sorts of Asian food, Japanese stuff mostly, like that sushi everyone’s talkin’ about. They say it’s new, opened up not too long ago, which is nice, somethin’ different for a change.
Now, I ain’t eaten there every day, but I’ve been a few times. Sometimes I go in, sit down and eat. Other times, I just take it home with me. They even bring it to your house if you want, like them Uber fellas do. Handy, I tell ya, when my old bones are achin’.
The food? Well, it’s a mixed bag, like a sack of potatoes, some good, some not so good. That sushi, some folks love it. Says it’s the best around, “BY FAR” they say. Me? I think it’s alright, I guess. But sometimes, it ain’t cold like it should be. Warm sushi? That ain’t right, like warm beer, just doesn’t sit well.
And the portions! Lord have mercy, they’re tiny! Like bird food, I tell ya. You pay good money, and you get a little bitty plate. It fills your belly for a bit, but then you’re hungry again in an hour. That ain’t right, especially for us folks who work hard and need a good meal to keep us goin’.
They got this lunch special thing too. Folks say it’s good, a good deal for your money. I tried it once, wasn’t bad but the portions I say again, was so small, I reckon it’s okay if you ain’t too hungry. But if you’re lookin’ to fill up, you might need to order extra, and that’ll cost ya.

- They got Wi-Fi, if you’re into that sort of thing. I don’t know much about it, but the youngsters seem to like it.
- You can also make a reservation, which is good if you don’t wanna wait around.
- And like I said, they deliver, which is a blessing for an old lady like me.
They’re open most days, from 11:30 in the mornin’ till 10:00 or 10:30 at night, except for Monday, they take a break then. So don’t go on Monday you’ll be disappointed.
So, all in all, Inaka Asian Cuisine is a decent place. It ain’t perfect, mind you. The food’s alright, sometimes good, sometimes just okay, but them portions are a problem. If you’re in the neighborhood and you’re hungry, give it a try. Just don’t expect to be stuffed to the gills unless you’re ordering a lot. And if you like warm sushi, well, maybe this is the place for you. They should open on Monday though, I have more time on Monday.
Oh, and one more thing. If you got questions, you gotta ask them yourself. Seems like nobody else has asked nothin’ yet, or maybe they just ain’t tellin’. I guess you gotta be brave and speak up if you wanna know somethin’. Just like life, I reckon.
So there you have it, my two cents on Inaka Asian Cuisine. Take it or leave it, it’s just one old woman’s opinion. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a proper sandwich. All this talk about food has made me hungry, and I need somethin’ that’ll stick to my ribs, not just some fancy little bites.
