Okay, so the other day I decided to check out this Thai place in San Francisco called Jitlada Thai Cuisine. I’d heard some good things about it and, you know, I’m always up for trying new food spots.
First off, I found out that they don’t take reservations. So, I figured I’d better get there early to avoid a long wait, this place has a line every night. When I arrived, I noticed it’s kind of tucked away in a corner of a strip mall. Not exactly what I was expecting, but hey, I’ve learned not to judge a book by its cover when it comes to restaurants.

I went inside and luckily snagged a table without having to wait too long. The place was pretty busy, but the atmosphere was nice and lively. The staff were friendly and they seated me quickly.
I glanced at the menu and it had a ton of options, I really mean it a ton of Thai food! They had all the classic Thai dishes and some that I’d never even heard of before. I decided to ask the waiter for some recommendations, and they were super helpful. Ended up ordering a few different things to share with my friends.
- Green Curry: The waiter recommended this one, and man, was it good! Spicy, but not too much, and full of flavor.
- Pad See Ew: A classic for a reason. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious.
- Tom Yum Soup: This was probably my favorite dish of the night. It was so flavorful and comforting.
While we were waiting for our food, I took a look around at what other people were eating. Everything looked amazing! I definitely want to go back and try some of their other dishes, especially some of the seafood options. They looked incredible.
The food arrived, and it was just as good as it looked. We all dug in, sharing everything family-style. We tried a bit of everything, and honestly, there wasn’t a single dish that we didn’t enjoy.
By the time we finished, we were all stuffed. We decided to skip dessert, but they did have some interesting options on the menu. Maybe next time!
Overall Experience
All in all, I had a great experience at Jitlada Thai Cuisine. I finally tried this place. It lived up to the hype. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back again soon, maybe I’ll take my family there to enjoy it next time. If you’re in San Francisco and looking for some good Thai food, I highly recommend checking this place out. Just be prepared for a possible wait, especially during peak hours, it is really famous in local!
