Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get my kitchen drawer organized for, like, forever. It’s always a mess, especially the utensil area. Forks mixed with spoons, whisks tangled up… you get the picture. And the egg tools? Forget about it. I had, like, three different spatulas, two whisks, and some weird egg separator thing I never even used.
So, today was the day. I pulled everything out of the drawer. Everything. It was kind of shocking how much stuff was crammed in there.

Step 1: The Great Purge
First, I sorted through it all. I made a pile of stuff I use all the time, a pile of “maybe” stuff, and a pile of “what is this even for?” stuff.
- Keep: My favorite spatula, the good whisk, my trusty egg timer.
- Maybe: A couple of extra spatulas (just in case?), a slotted spoon I sometimes use for poached eggs.
- Toss/Donate: That weird egg separator, a broken whisk, some random plastic thing.
Step 2: Cleaning Time
With the drawer empty, I wiped it down. It was… dusty. Let’s just leave it at that.
Step 3: Organize!
Then the main work is organize.
I put the “keep” pile back in the drawer, making sure to keep the egg stuff together. Spatula, whisk, timer – all in one spot. The “maybe” pile? I put it in a box in the pantry. If I don’t use it in, like, a month, it’s going.
Final display
And that’s it! My utensil drawer is now (somewhat) organized, and I can actually find my egg stuff without digging through a mountain of other things. It’s the little things, right?
