Okay, here’s my post about making that Pineapple Upside Down Cake drink I saw on Tipsy Bartender:
So the other day, I was scrolling through all these cocktail recipes, you know, just browsing like you do, and I stumbled upon this Pineapple Upside Down Cake drink from Tipsy Bartender. I love the cake, so a drink that tastes like it? Sign me up! I decided to try it out.

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. This wasn’t too hard, mostly stuff I had around already. I grabbed:
- Some pineapple juice (I used the canned stuff, worked fine)
- Vodka (any kind works, use what you have)
- Grenadine (for that sweet, red look)
- A lime (for a little twist)
- Ice (lots of it!)
- Maraschino cherries (gotta have these for the real cake feel)
I started off by filling a shaker with ice. Then, I poured in a good amount of pineapple juice, followed by a shot of vodka. I’m not much of a drinker, so I went a little light on the vodka, but you do you. I squeezed in half a lime, just to give it a little zing, you know?
Next, I splashed in a bit of grenadine. This is where you gotta be careful—too much and it’s way too sweet. I just did a little drizzle, enough to give it a nice color. I put the lid on the shaker and shook it like crazy. You want it to be super cold and all mixed up.
I grabbed a glass and put a few maraschino cherries at the bottom, just like the cake has on top. Then, I strained the drink into the glass, over the cherries. It looked pretty cool, all pink and frothy.
Finally, I took a sip. Man, it was sweet, but in a good way! You get that strong pineapple taste right away, and then that little hint of lime. The vodka was there, but not overpowering. And those cherries at the end? Perfect little treat!
This drink was like a cake, but more refreshing. I’d say this was a successful attempt! I made another one right away, this time with a little more vodka, just to see. Still good! This Pineapple Upside Down Cake drink is definitely something I’ll be making again. Cheers!
