Okay, so I’ve been trying to get into this whole “find new drinks” thing, you know, expand my horizons beyond the usual soda and coffee. And I thought, why not start with drinks that begin with the letter ‘B’? Sounds kinda fun, right? So I dove into this little project and here’s how it went.
First off, I started looking up stuff online. I typed in something like “drinks starting with B” into the search bar and scrolled through a bunch of results. I found out that there are a lot of drinks starting with the letter “B”.

I started simple, with some non-alcoholic stuff. I found that I can mix some juice with sparkling water and fruit. I grabbed some grape juice, blackberries, a bottle of sparkling water from my fridge, and tried mixing them. It turned out to be pretty good!
- Blackberry Sparkler – This one was super easy. Just some grape juice, sparkling water, and a handful of blackberries.
Then I got a little more adventurous. I decided to look for some alcoholic ones. I stumbled upon this thing called a “B&B.” Apparently, it’s a mix of this stuff called Benedictine and brandy. I did a quick search and found that the ratio was like 60% Benedictine and 40% brandy. I happened to have some brandy lying around, but no Benedictine.
So, I went out to the store and picked up a bottle of Benedictine. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, gotta try new things, right? Back home, I measured out the Benedictine and brandy, mixed them up. Took a sip. Whoa, that’s strong! Definitely an acquired taste, I guess.
- B&B – This one’s a doozy. 60% Benedictine, 40% brandy. Definitely not for the faint of heart!
I also read about something called a Bumble Bee Cocktail but didn’t get to try it this time. Maybe next time I’ll give that a shot.
My Takeaway
This whole “drinks that start with B” thing was pretty fun. I discovered a super easy and refreshing drink, the Blackberry Sparkler, and tried a fancy-sounding cocktail, the B&B. There are definitely more “B” drinks out there to explore. It is interesting to try making these beverages at home. I might try making more “B” drinks later.
So yeah, that was my little adventure. It’s cool to step outside your comfort zone sometimes and try new stuff. You never know what you might like!
