Okay, so I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and I finally got around to building a built-in beverage cooler in my kitchen. It’s not as hard as it sounds, and it’s a great way to keep your drinks cold and out of the way.
First, I went to measure the space where I wanted to put the cooler. I wanted to make sure I had enough room, and I also wanted to make sure I could open the door all the way. It’s important to choose a cooler that fits the space and your needs. I decided to go with a built-in model because I didn’t have a lot of extra space, and I wanted it to look seamless with my cabinets.

Then I started looking for a beverage cooler. I read a bunch of reviews online and compared different models. There are a lot of different ones out there, so you gotta do your homework. I figured out that the ideal temperature depends on what kind of drinks you wanna put in there. Like, sodas and stuff should be between 35 and 45 degrees, and white wines are a little warmer, like 45 to 50 degrees.
I also needed to think about the door. I measured how much space I had in front of the spot where I was gonna put the cooler. You need to be able to open the door at least 90 degrees to get your drinks out easily.
Once I chose a model that I liked, I started making plans. Since I went with a built-in, I needed to get my cabinets ready. I measured everything out and cut a hole in my cabinet for the cooler to slide into. This was probably the hardest part, but it wasn’t too bad.
- First, I removed the cabinet doors where the cooler was going.
- Then I marked the outline of the cooler on the inside of the cabinet.
- I used a jigsaw to cut along the lines I marked.
After the hole was cut, I needed to make sure the cooler had power. I found a nearby outlet and ran an extension cord to the spot. Then, with a little help from my friend, we slid the cooler into the hole. It fit perfectly! We plugged it in, and it started right up. They are insulated and sealed. They usually have glass doors and LED lights, which is pretty cool.
Here’s what I learned:
- Make sure you have the right tools for the job. You’ll need a measuring tape, a saw, and maybe some other stuff.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s always easier with two people.
- Have fun with it! This is a fun project that you can be proud of.
I filled it up with my favorite drinks, and now I have a sweet built-in beverage cooler in my kitchen. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I love it. No more having to cram drinks into the regular fridge, and they’re always nice and cold. If you’re thinking about doing this, I say go for it! It’s a great way to upgrade your kitchen and keep your drinks chilled.
