Okay, so I’ve been trying to up my protein intake lately, and I stumbled upon this “two-ingredient protein pancake” thing. Sounded too good to be true, but I gave it a shot anyway. Here’s how it went down:
Getting Started
First, I grabbed the stuff I needed:

- Egg whites: I used the carton kind, ’cause who has time to separate eggs?
- Protein powder: I had some vanilla whey protein lying around.
That’s it! Seriously, just two things. I was still skeptical, but I moved on to the next step.
Mixing it Up
I poured some egg whites into a bowl – didn’t really measure, just eyeballed it. Probably about half a cup? Then, I dumped in a scoop of the protein powder. It looked kinda weird, all clumpy and stuff.
I grabbed a fork and started whisking. And whisking. And whisking. It took a while, but eventually, it turned into a somewhat smooth batter. There were still a few lumps, but I figured they wouldn’t hurt.
Cookin’ Time
I sprayed a non-stick pan with some cooking spray and set it over medium heat. Once it was hot, I poured in some of the batter. It didn’t spread out like regular pancake batter, it was thicker.
I let it cook for a few minutes, until the bottom looked set and the edges started to look a little dry. Then, I tried to flip it. It was… challenging. The pancake was pretty delicate, and I almost ripped it in half. But I managed to get it over in one piece (mostly).
I cooked the other side for another couple of minutes, until it was golden brown and cooked through.
The Taste Test
I slid the pancake onto a plate and stared at it for a second. It didn’t look amazing, but it didn’t look terrible either. I drizzled a little bit of syrup on top (because, pancakes) and took a bite.

Honestly? It wasn’t bad! It definitely tasted like protein powder, but the vanilla flavor helped. The texture was a little… spongy? But not in a gross way. It was actually pretty filling, too.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d say these two-ingredient protein pancakes are a win. They’re super easy to make, they’re packed with protein, and they taste pretty decent. They’re not going to replace regular pancakes anytime soon, but for a quick and healthy breakfast, they’re definitely worth a try. Will probably make these again!
