Okay, so I’ve been wanting to add a little something extra to my kitchen, you know? Something that makes it feel more like home and also gives me a little boost during the day. I thought, “Why not add some Bible verses?” It seemed like a cool way to bring some positive vibes into the space where I spend so much time, cooking and just hanging out.
First, I scoured the internet, looking for verses that resonated with me and felt fitting for a kitchen. I didn’t want anything too heavy, just some uplifting words that would make me smile while I’m making my morning coffee or whipping up dinner.

Then, I started jotting down some ideas on how to display these verses. I mean, I could just print them out and stick them on the fridge, but that’s a bit boring, right? I wanted something a bit more creative. I thought about maybe painting them onto some wooden plaques, or maybe even using those cute little chalkboard signs. I even considered getting some custom-made wall decals, but that felt a bit too fancy for my taste.
- “Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11) – I mean, it’s a classic, right? Perfect for a kitchen.
- “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) – This one is a good reminder to be mindful and appreciative, even in the little things.
- “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalm 34:8) – I love this one because it’s about experiencing and savoring the good things in life.
My Selections
After a lot of back and forth, I finally decided on a few verses that I really liked. I picked simple, but meaningful.
Next, I needed to figure out the execution. I ended up finding some cute wooden signs at a local craft store that were perfect. I grabbed some acrylic paints and brushes, and got to work. It wasn’t exactly a masterpiece, but I had fun painting the verses onto the signs. It was actually pretty relaxing, and I felt a sense of accomplishment when I was done.
Finally, I hung the signs up in my kitchen. I put one above the sink, where I can see it when I’m washing dishes, and another one near my coffee maker, for a little morning inspiration. And you know what? It actually made a difference. Seeing those verses every day is a nice little reminder of faith and positivity. It’s not like it changed my life or anything, but it definitely adds a little something special to my kitchen. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter when guests come over! They always ask about the signs, and it gives me a chance to share something meaningful with them.
So there you have it. Adding Bible verses to my kitchen turned out to be a great idea. I am happy with the result. It was a fun little project, and it really did bring a sense of warmth and purpose to the space. If you’re looking for a way to personalize your kitchen and add a touch of inspiration, I definitely recommend giving it a try. I think you might love it!
